This was a question on where to buy the upcoming releases, the ones coming out in May. It's not a place for people to post their e-Bay sales.

a conundrum

A conundrum. Do I order all 4 from Amazon and ensure my purchase, or do I run out to Wal-Mart on 5/18 to try to save $20.

Wal-mart doesn't even have them listed on teh website as a "coming release."

The reason I got mine at amazon because the price wasn't too shabby and I've never even seen them at Wal-Mart.

I wouldn't bet on our local Wal-Mart to have the Treasures either. Their selection of Disney DVD's is very lacking anyway. Back in the VHS days, they normally kept all animated titles that were not on moratorium in their stock. Now on DVD, they only have the newest releases and that's it. Besides, I don't like Wal-Mart anyway. I don't like to buy things from them. Also, after what I paid for the previous Treasures sets, running around like crazy to every store that might have them, the Amazon.com price of 23 bucks doesn't seem so bad to me.

If you pre order from Amazon might you get dented tins?

Cause I was thinking amazon is probably the best place to order them, since they’ll be $25-32 on release day, and those that are left in print will be $19 a few months later while the rare ones like the Front Lines will be $90 on ebay.

I think it was worth it to buy it at amazon. I've never bought a Treasure before, so I don't know if they tins get dented or not. However, I'm so excited about the film I did order that a little dent is not going to stop my enthusiasm.

I remember purchasing wave 2 of the Treasures, directly at the Disney Store and they had the best prices and when other large video stores are asking way too much for each treasure collection. So you also might want to try the Disney Store.

I have seen both waves of Disney Treasures at Wal-Mart before and the Disney Store and a few other places that sell DVDs and CDs. So, I'm not too worried about not being able to get them...I am confident that I will :)

I've noticed that Amazon prices can fluctuate greatly overnight. The Spirit Archives there jumped to list price ($49.95) over the holiday season and then fell back to the usual $34.97 afterwards. I'm also not sure that everyone who visits Amazon is quoted the same price. I'm currently looking at $23.09.

Do you think that the Amazon price may go up on release day?

How much did the Disney store sell them at the time of their release? I know they got to $20 later. But at first how much?

I paid $24.99(plus tax of course) for the last wave at the Disney Store and I think the wave 3 will all start at $30.00.
