Your favorite classic Disney animated tv series?

Post by Goliath »

So, I would like to know what is your favorite 'classic' Disney animated tv show. Remember: my definition of 'classic' doesn't include any other show than those named in the poll. And I'd like it if you explained why.

I'm really sad you didn't include The Little Mermaid series in it. :(

But instead, I voted for Aladdin.

Both series are needed on DVD!

I had to go with DuckTales. It's of a reasonably good quality and out of these has the most classic flair to it. :)

Winnie the Pooh, by far! I'll never forget the "under the bed" episode with the Crayon army. And Crud.

And the episode where Piglet, Tigger, and Rabbit were in the jungle.

And... some kind of rats or something were stealing objects from everyone and trying to build something.

I have the most memories with that show. And can sing the theme song. Never forget the lyrics.

I wish we (over here in The Netherlands), we would get *any* season sets! Oh well, I'll just watch them illegally on YouTube. Your fault, Disney!

My own favorite is -surprise!- 'Gargoyles', but 'DuckTales' is a really close second. I doubted if I should have included 'The Little Mermaid', as it was produced around the same time. But on the other hand, I could have left out 'Aladdin' as well. Maybe I should have sticked to the 'original' series (not the sequels to Disney Classics) and drawn the line with 'Bonkers'.

The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Aladdin, DuckTales, and Gummi Bears were always the best shows to me--and I think I'll go with DuckTales as my pick.

I really don't care for the rest. There are huge fans of Darkwing Duck and Gargoyles, but I don't understand the appeal. I particularly tried to get into Gargoyles, but it just never clicked for me.

The only other Disney show (not on this list) that I enjoy is Disney's Hercules. I like The Little Mermaid series because it's related to the movie, but it's not very good (though it's better than it could be, with the very talented film cast reprising their roles thankfully).

I like Hercules, too. Though I don't consider it 'classic'. I think it was a lucky shot amidst so many crap.
