I'd love to upgrade my bare-bones copy but doubt we'll get a boffo Special Edition with Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker & Kathy Najimy audio commentary.

It's clearly not happening this Halloween. Maybe next year? Along with season sets of "Even Stevens", a new edition of Ichabod and Mr. Toad, a general retail release of Child of Glass and a Mr. Boogedy/Bride of Boogedy Double Feature plus widescreen Special Edition DVDs of George of the Jungle, Honey, I Shrunk the Kids and Midnight Madness, I'm sure!

Hey, why not a 2-Disc Platinum Blu release for "Return to Oz" with reunion cast audio commentary, deleted scenes, interactive games, footage of the Return to Oz float at Disneyland, and complete scoring sessions for the soundtrack?

I can dream.... :)

While we're at it, let's put in the 3-Disc Blu-rays of every DTV sequel ever made by Disney, not that anyone would buy them to watch.

Oh, and an anamorphic widescreen Blu-ray of A Goofy Movie.

Then why would we bother making them? :?

I totally agree! I would love a special edition Hocus Pocus! I remember seeing a behind the scenes featurette on TV years ago. They showed "Billy" being made up and costumed and they went into how they made mini models of the sisters for the flying scenes - oh and how they made the "zaps" come out of Winnie's fingertips. That's all I remember. Does anyone else remember this featurette? Did it originally air on the Disney channel or what? Has anyone found it online?

I couldn't agree more. I'm dreaming with you. There's a behind the scenes featurette online. Go check it out.
