I just recently watched my Brother Bear DVD. I hadn't seen it in theaters, so this was the first time. I really enjoyed it and it was definitely one of Disney's strongest animated movies in the last few years, though theo only one that was really lacking in my opinion was the Emproer's New Groove.
The animation in BB is excellent, its worth it alone for that. But the story is also entertaining and it's just reminds me of classic Disney. It's too bad it didnt have as much success as it should have had.

Just watched Tarzan for the second time. The first was in theaters, so it had been a while. I still really like it, but hate that it marks the end of Disney animated musicals (thus far)... more on that in another thread. Still, a great movie. I put it in the same league as Brother Bear. The Phil Collins songs have got to go though- ENOUGH ALREADY!

I just watched Brother Bear; it was okay, but definitely a C for me, or maybe even a C-. I don't like huge epic animals films, Bambi and Lion King included. But still, it was worth seeing it once, and I'd probably watch it again. The final outtake was just awesome!catNC wrote:I watched Brother Bear for the first time a couple days ago. This week I just watch on VHS.
I just watch The Love Bug, The Love Bug rides again, The Rookie and The 30th aniversary of School House Rock!!
I really enjoyed The Rookie and The Love Bug.
The Love Bug rides again and The 30th aniversary of School House Rock! were ok both could have been better.
The 30th aniversary of School House Rock! bought back many memories when I used to watch it on ABC Saturday mornings.
They should bring back School House Rock to ABC Saturday mornings for the new generations.

Just watched Treasure Planet on DVD for the third time, it has to be the best, and by far my favorite Disney animated feature to date (as you've probably already noticed). I absolutely love the music, both the orchestral and the song by Johnny Reznick, totally moving. Although I'll have to agree with others who have said it is somewhat out of place and just kind of comes out of nowhere.
That was the last movie I sat down and watched, but the kids in my house watch Robin Hood about once a week, so I've cought that sooner than Treasure Planet. Definitely another Disney classic, so many funny lines in that one. Phil Harris and Peter Ustinov are still stunning. They sure don't make voice actors like they used to.

Just watched my newly acquired Brother Bear DVD yesterday (widescreen disc). It looks really good, although I did notice a little green framing around some of the characters (particularly the outdoor, sunny shots for the moose and the bear leads).
Even so, and pretty good looking DVD!
