But actually, I'm pretty excited about my progress. I'm on a plan I know I can stick with and am anxious to see how much progress I can make by the end of the year.
Who here has lost weight or has a goal?

Well, I fell flat in my attempt to eat healthier last year but I'm back in the saddle again as of last month.
I've lost 10 pounds in the process, which adds up to a total of 85 pounds altogether from my highest weight a few years ago. But I don't even want to think about how much further I have to go.

Yep, I've averaged a little over 2 1/2 pounds a week. I've found that the bigger I am, the faster it comes off, so I imagine my progress will slow down before I know it. For now I hope to keep losing at least 2 pounds per week until Christmas or so.PeterPanfan wrote:enigma, you lost ten pounds in one month??
I'm a tall girl (5' 8") so at least I "carry" my weight well, but I've battled with being overweight ever since I was a kid. My ultimate goal is 150, but I'll be just be happy to get down to a size 14 or so, which I haven't seen since I was in my early 20's.

I'm currently trying to lose weight by eating less and biking 2 miles a day. I also swim whenever I can (which is usually 30 minutes of laps a week). I started this week, and results are already showing. It's awesome.

Thanks!PeterPanfan wrote:Wow, that's really good! Congratulations, and I hope you reach your goal!
No problem! I've only got three entries so far, but I'm writing out the details of what I'm doing in an LJ blog which you can find here. The main gist is that I'm mostly eating fresh fruit and a lot of veggies, and avoiding overly-processed foods (like white flour and sugar) and high fat foods (like anything deep-fried).What do you do to lose weight, if you don't mind answering?

Just a reminder:
After you finish a diet, keep doing exercise so your body get used to burn the fat.
Also, don't be completely trustful to formula of weight/(height x height) (can´t remember the name of it) because it isn´t as accurate as they say, because it doesn't consider muscular and fat percentage.
