Before I left for vacation, I got

Michael Jackson: Dangerous [2001 Remastered Special Edition], $9.99 at Target
Tasty: Trick Me, Keep It Down, Flashback, Protect My Heart, Millionaire, Sugar Honey Iced Tea, Attention, Rolling Through The Hood, Stick Up, and Marathon. GUILTY PLEASURE - In Public.
Kelis Was Here: Fire (I live in the U.S., and after hearing the U.S. version of the album I listened to "Fire" and loved it. I tracked down a copy of the international version of the album just so I could have this song), I Don't Think So, Weekend, Trilogy, Til The Wheels Fall Off, Handful, Aww S**t!, What's That Right There?, Lil' Star, Like You, Living Proof. GUILTY PLEASURE: F**k Them B*****s (hidden at the end of Have A Nice Day).
Anyway today I went to Target and picked up

Michael Jackson: Bad [2001 Remastered Special Edition w/ Bonus Tracks], $9.99
Now all I need is the Remastered 2001 SE of Thriller and the Deluxe Edition Thriller: 25th Anniversary, and my MJ studio album collection will be almost complete (or as complete as I want it to be). As far as his compilations go, perhaps I'll buy Number Ones, but I really want The Essential Michael Jackson 3.0 Limited Edition (my Target has a spot for it but of course it is all sold out), and I would be thrilled if I can track down a copy of the double album HIStory for a decent price ($32.99 is ridiculous). I'm also gonna try to track down Blood on the Dance Floor: HIStory In The Mix because I LOVE the title track. I'm still debating on whether or not I want to put in all the effort to track down his first 4 albums (Music & Me, Ben, Forever Michael and Got to Be There). I will definitely buy HIStory on Film Vol. I and II, as well as Dangerous: The Short Films and the Number Ones DVD.

I also prefer "Tasty". But my picks from each are:Nick Bryant wrote: I prefer "Tasty" to "Kelis Was Here" but I enjoy listening to both. I especially love the tracks "In Public", "Trick Me", "Flashback" (which was also on the Wanderland album), "Millionaire" & "Glow". Which ones are your favourites (either album)?

Michael Jackson: Blood on the Dance Floor: HIStory in the Mix, $7.99 new at FYE. Although I'm generally not a fan of remixes (and don't even own the original HIStory album), I LOVE the title track (and after giving the whole album a listen), the other 4 new tracks. Plus the remix of Scream was great. The only other remix album I own is J.Lo's.

Michael Jackson: Invincible: Limited Edition w/ Green Cover Art, $6.99 used at FYE. I loved the album and I already on the Silver cover, so I'm hoping to get all 5 colors since these Limited Editions are collector's items now.
UPDATE: 7/24/09

The Essential Michael Jackson: Limited Edition 3.0, $15.00 at Target. This is such a great set to have. It has almost every single MJ released as a solo artist (with the exception of a few), and some of his biggest hits with The Jackson 5/The Jacksons. This is probably the best $15 I have spent in a while. The third bonus CD isn't a must-have, but whether or not you find this Limited Edition or the standard 2-disc edition it's a great buy.
UPDATE: 7/25/09

Michael Jackson: Thriller 25: Deluxe Zombie Cover Limited Casebook Edition, $27.99 at Newbury Comics. I had it narrowed down to this Casebook LE or the standard Zombie Cover edition for $19.99. I decided to go for this edition because it is extremely hard to find where I live (either edition of the Zombie Cover version is), and I thought it would be cool. It's not a regular 2-CD case housed inside a slipcover like all the other editions of the reissue, it's a mini-hardcover book with (I presume) more pictures than the other editions of Thriller 25, and the CD is in a paper pocket on the inside of the front cover, and the DVD is in a paper pocket on the inside of the back cover. It's not the best method for storing the discs, and the CD is already beginning to get scratched, and I have only taken it out to put in the CD player in my car and then in my computer to load to my iPod. Bonus material-wise, I'm glad they included a DVD, but I feel like they could have added more. And for the bonus tracks on the CD, I really wish they would have ported over the bonus tracks and interviews from the 2001 remastered edition of the album as well. It's an okay reissue, but I feel like I'm going to have to get the standard edition of Thriller 25 (the discs all have the same content), and I'm going to get the 2001 remastered version of the album for the bonus tracks and interviews on that.

Diddy: Press Play [Clean], $3.99 used at Newbury Comics

Rob Thomas: ...Something to Be [DualDisc], $3.99 used at Newbury Comics

Michael Jackson: Thriller [2001 Remastered Special Edition w/ Bonus Tracks], $12.99 at Best Buy.
Ya know, I'm really upset that I haven't been able to find these '01 Remastered Editions with their slipcovers. I like the slipcovers so much better than the original artwork (with the exception of Off the Wall, the slipcover is the same as the artwork).

OMG me too! I love Jessie James, my favourite tracks are Burn It Up, Guilty and Bullet. I can't stop playing Burn It Up, I love it! I really hope she releases it as a single, I really want to see a video that embodies the lyrics. Her voice reminds me a little of Christina Aguilera at times, she's got amazing vocals, she's my favourite new artist at the moment (with the exception of Lady GaGa), in fact, I was recently thinking of making a thread on her.DisneyFreak5282 wrote:

Haha, yeah when I heard "Wanted" for the first time ever (back in April or May) on the radio, I was like 'who is this?' and I narrowed it down to either Lady GaGa or Christina Aguilera. Then I found out about her and I was really excited to hear this album, and I like it so far, I just think it needs a little more time to grow on me (I haven't even listened to the whole thing yet).Nick Bryant wrote:OMG me too! Absolutely amazing album with the three (then) living and active queens of country music. (Sadly, one of them has since gone on to the Hillbilly Heaven they sing of in the album's closing track.

What do you think of this package? Isn't it great? I think it's his best greatest hits collection. Although there were 3 songs on the Number Ones CD that aren't on here, I think this CD is much better.AwallaceUNC wrote:
