The Real World: London (Season 4, 1995) - Episodes 1 through 9 : "Moving In" (everyone meets and moves in, Mike is attracted to Kat, Kat is friends with Neil), "A Loaf of Bread, a Jug of Swine, and Thou" (Superbowl Sunday, Valentine's Day tension, more attraction between Kat and Neil), "Shush, Shush Sweet Sharon" (Sharon has throat surgery, Lars makes club promoter connections, Sharon gets doctor's orders not to speak), "Brand New Swords and Formula Fords" (Mike can't get a sponsor to race in England, Kat goes to fencing try-outs but doesn't place well, Mike's father guilts him about going to London) "Model Employees" (Jacinda starts to get tired of modelling, Mike gets a job as a rollerblading instructor, Sharon tries for a waitressing job, Mike makes too much noise at night and gets on Jacinda's nerves, Sharon tries for a job as a salesperson) "Speaking Parts" (Neil is attacked onstage at a performance and has his tongue bitten, goes to a hospital, has stitches, and can't speak for weeks / Jay tries to get a theater in London to do his play, writes an E-Mail to Blues Traveler and they mention him in their live performance), "Episode 8" (Jacinda gets a puppy, her boyfriend Paul goes over to visit, Mike gets a visit from an attractive girl but he won't make a move because she's from Germany), and "Innocents Abroad" (Jay has a visit from a poet who he has a thing for, Mike finds a sponsor but still needs funds, his family comes over to visit and he slowly begins to get help from his father).

The Real World: London (Season 4) - Episodes 10 through 17; "Dysfunction Junction" (the phone is disconnected because no one paid the bill, Jacinda's dog is making a mess everywhere, Sharon gets teased about her fear of "lurgi," Lars' bike is stolen and nobody cares), "Outward Bounding" (the roommates are sent on a weekend outward-adventure getaway to show their teamwork and while everyone picks on Sharon, they start drawing away when Jacinda goes a bit far), "Fast Company" (Mike finally gets to race but isn't used to the car, so he doesn't do well, but the roommates show up to support him), "The Play's the Thing" (Jay can't get a theater to perform his play, so the roommates suggest putting it on in the house), "Unexpected Developments" (Jay's play is a success, so Jacinda finally gets to throw the house party she's been wanting to. Mike wants to date Sharon's friend Hannah, but after awhile, she's more into the relationship than he is. Kat is single and likes several guys but doesn't want to give up her freedom). "Oral Examinations" (Kat has trouble with her schoolwork, Sharon gets seriously sick and has to be taken to the hospital for an operation). "Homebodies and Free Spirits" (Jay flies to Portland, Oregon to spend some time with his girlfriend, Jacinda wants to go crazy so she has her tongue pierced and takes Kat streaking with her). "Tales from the Confessional" (the wonderful non-storyline episode of The Real World which is nothing but the roommates having fun, and weird avante-garde stuff / much of the episode is in black-and-white, and the entire thing is widescreen).

The Real World: Los Angeles (Season 2, 1993) - Episode 2 (3 of the roommates meet in a Winnebago and start a cross-country driving trip through Memphis, Las Vegas, and other interesting places while getting to know each other. Jon performs a country song for Tami and Dominic and they are impressed, but soon Jon's innocence bothers hard-drinking Dom, and Tami, who Jon admits in confession, is lost in the eyes of his religion since she's of the Muslim faith).

The Real World: Boston (Season 6, 1997) - Episode 1: "Moving In - Part 1" (The Roommates arrive at the Firehouse but have trouble picking rooms when oversensitivies about drinking, gender, and superior attitudes start materializing).

The Real World: San Francisco (Season 3, 1994) - Episode 1: "Planes, Trains and Paddywagons" (the roommates all meet and arrive, Pedro tells everyone he has AIDS, and Puck arrives fresh out of jail for unpaid tickets for some kind of driving offense).

I picked up season one of House M.D. today. I had seen a few episodes in the past and really liked it so when I found season one on Bluckbuster's previously viewed rack for 16 bucks I decided to buy it. I've watched the first four episodes and I'm loving it. I'll be picking up the rest of the series on DVD soon and will be adding it to my weekly viewing schedule starting next season.

Wow, nobody's posted in this thread almost all year!

I wanted to take this opportunity to drop a mention of the failed NBC summer series Fear Itself. Many considered it a great disappointment... but I have a surprise for you: it produced better results than the 2nd season of Masters of Horror, for which this series owes its' existence to, and for which Mick Garris - creater of Masters - also co-produced and wrote for.

Crazy talk, eh? Most of Fear's contributions were flat-out terrible. It's true. From the ultra-tedium of Brad (Session 9, The Machinist) Anderson's abysmal "Spooked," to the queen-sized disappointment of Mary (American Psycho) Harron's "Community," to the unoriginal "Eater" (Stuart Gordon, Re-Animator and From Beyond) and its' world record-settingly bad ending, to the 'where the hell is he going with this?' of John (American Werewolf in London, Innocent Blood) Landis's "In Sickness and In Health" (until the ending, which everyone saw coming).

But it also managed to do something that Masters of Horror's 2nd season was unable to do - actually accomplish a stroke of horror genius! This lightning struck not just once with Fear Itself's 8 broadcast episodes, but twice - whereas Masters' 2nd failed to deliver even 1 truly noteworthy piece (though "Right to Die" came pretty close!). Ronny (Bride of Chucky, The Bride with White Hair) Yu's "Family Man" (vastly superior to John Landis's "Family" from Masters: Season 2), and Larry (Wendio, The Last Winter) Fessenden's remarkable "Skin and Bones" are not just outstanding horror TV, but even better than any horror feature films I've seen since 2003's Open Water!!

Also amazing that, in the lesser episodes - Mick Garris was surprisingly able to redeem himself (at least partially) for his awful "Valerie on the Stairs" with "The Sacrifice" (which was better by leaps and bounds), and with "New Year's Day," Darren Lynn Bousman finally directed a piece of horror worth watching after his wretched Saw series entries.

5 episodes never made it on-the-air. Which is kind of sad. Since I was really looking forward to seeing what John Dahl (my jaw dropped when I discovered he was on the directors' list) was going to do for the series! John Dahl is the director of probably the greatest American erotic-thriller ever made- The Last Seduction, with Linda Fiorentino. Which, if you haven't seen it, I highly recommend you do!

Six Feet Under, season 2, episode 6.

I've only just discovered this show! I missed it all those years when it originally aired. I *love* it. Don't tell me any spoilers, please.

Yesterday I watched an episode of Ghost Whisperer as usual.
Last Thursday I saw the introduction to the series The mentalist, (two episodes in succession). I liked it, I think that is one to keep following. It's fun to see "Nick" from The Guardian in a total different role. Anyone of you watching this series too?

Tomorrow I will watch the first episode of the fifth series of "Desperate Housewives". That's my 'guilty pleasure' just as "Dallas' and "Dynasty" used to be for me in the eighties. Although DH is has a different concept and setting than these TV-soap classics I see a lot of similarities: the intrigue is just as fascinating as implausable, and the characters are an insufferable, manipulative lot.

I'm watching Boston Legal right now and The Biggest Loser before that. I also spent the weekend watching every episode of Lipstick Jungle. I got hooked just to find out that the "season" finale is on Friday and there's a good chance that it's actually canceled! The same thing happened with Boston Legal, but at least I got a good four weeks of new episodes out of it before it went off.

Watching The 4400 on DVD right now, just saw an episode this afternoon. Most of the series is a reapeated veiwing for me, but I yet have to see how it ends. The series was ended prematurely, so I hope some mysteries are solved in the last episodes.

I actually forced myself to sit through an entire episode of Drop Dead Diva.

It was going okay... Until the scene where the guy with "multiple personalities" (he was totally faking it, because he didn't even have one personality and he wanted people to think he was interesting) took the stand. His dialogue and performance were so bad, it hurt my head and I couldn't pay attention to the next 3 or so minutes.

For all the positive press this show's getting, I have to honestly say it's not worth it. Parts of it work well, but overall it's not the 2nd coming of Legally Blonde (which was also frustrating and offensive in too many places).

I'm pretty bored, so I figured I'll post in some threads that I haven't posted in in a while!

Last night I watched "The Suite Life on Deck" and "Good Eats". I'm pretty sure those were the last shows I watched.

Pieces of the episodes where Brock(?) says he has problems with depression. All I could think about was: 1) why is everyone being a saint with Barbara-Jean and not telling her that she's clearly more of a nutcase than him? / 2) why is she such a nutcase yet no one advizes her to seek therapy as well? If he's clinically depressed, she must have something four times worse.

Then, I saw pieces of some earlier episode. Something to do with Van's mother. And I had to make the observation that- Reba's acting was much better in the earlier episodes than the later.

Image

Bits and pieces. A few occasional whole episodes. Saw one where Frasier and Mercedes Ruhl were in an elevator. One where the father writes songs to Frank Sinatra (when did he die again? Frank, that is?). One where Rosalind(?) agrees to see someone on the radio. One where Frasier and Niles are tormented by their father's new girlfriend. One where Frasier is tormented by Griffin Dunne. And one where Daphney is dating some guy in plaid and he sleeps over and makes Frasier uncomfortable.

Boring show, sometimes. But I'm starting to like it. It's good between commercial breaks during Reba and Roseanne (whenever either are on).

Image

Good writing, some very funny lines. But... anyone else noticed that Cybill Shepherd isn't a great comedic actress? Or, even a very good one? Or even a barely passable one?

Saw a couple. One where Cybill was the clown co-host of Tim Conway's childrens' show and wanted to bang the guy who played the gangster in the "An Offer She Can't Refuse" episode of The Nanny, who in this episode was, I believe- a gaffer. He's infinitely more attractive when he's not doing an incredibly annoying accent. The other is when she reunites with a guy who told her he was married but lied to her and now she wants to sleep with him but Marianne(?) guilts her into not because they both still think he's married. Oh, and some other one where Cybill and one of her daughters take an art class and a nude male model went to high school with... Rachel, I think.
