I think just because a movie has a dark tone to it doesn't mean it can't be a "happy" movie. I really think you should give this one a try you may be surprised.jediliz wrote: I don't like the Dark Tone of Tim Burton's movies. I like happy movies.
I've decided to not compare this one at all to Walt Disney's version. I'm looking at Burton's as a whole new take on the novel. For me, comparing it would either really thrill or dissapoint, so I'm just going to walk in the theater and watch this as a total surprise and see how I like it as another individual adaptation. Similar to when I watch Disney's Pocahontas, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, Sleeping Beauty etc. these days I look at them as seperate stories without pinpointing it to the original historic/fairytale version.
