http://hollywoodinsider.ew.com/2007/10/ ... erzin.html (via http://exmmusic.blogspot.com/):

Pussycat Doll's Solo Album Pushed Back Again
For the third time this fall, former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger's debut CD is being pushed back again, this time to 2008, confirms Interscope. Her Name is Nicole, originally slated for an Oct. 6 release, was first rescheduled for Nov. 6. Then, facing stiff chart competition from Jay-Z and Chris Brown, it was moved to Nov. 20. Scherzinger's post-Pussycat effort, which has been in the works for more than two years and features collaborations with will.i.am, Sting, Snowpatrol's Gary Lightbody, T.I., and Akon, was meant to launch Scherzinger as a solo artist on the same playing field as Interscope label-mates Gwen Stefani and Fergie. But after a lackluster response to the dance track "Whatever U Like," and with her second single, "Baby Love," nowhere near the Hot 100, insiders say Scherzinger's team is "rethinking" the roll-out while leaving an option open for more studio time.

Lucas Grabeel-You Got It[Music Video]

http://exmmusic.blogspot.com/2007/11/lu ... eo_04.html

I don't like the song (I'm pretty sure that this is the song that you hear in HSM2 in Sharpay's car), but I do like his brown hair.

Christina Aguilera-Oh Mother[Music Video]

http://exmmusic.blogspot.com/2007/11/ch ... video.html

I'm not sure if this is her next single or if this is a real music video, but my guess would be yes. It looks like it may be taken from Christina's upcoming (?) "Back to Basics Tour" DVD.

Spice Girls Holiday Tesco Commercial
http://exmmusic.blogspot.com/2007/11/sp ... ial-i.html

That's a cute commercial! And, HSM makes a couple of appearances!
***********************************************************
"Major Movie Star" trailer (starring Jessica Simpson)
http://hollywoodmediasource.blogspot.co ... rring.html

I'm a big fan of her music, but I haven't seen her other movies. When they come on TV I may watch them. Same goes with this. It could be a cute movie...?

And, "High School Musical"'s Olesya Rulin (who plays Kelsi in HSM) is in this film, too!
*************************************************************
Aly & AJ- "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree"
http://hollywoodmediasource.blogspot.co ... -tree.html

Aly & AJ's cover of KT Tunstall's "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree", for Yahoo's music series. It's not my favorite song, but they did a good job. I think that Katharine McPhee did a great job with this song on "American Idol", and I probably prefer that version, even though I'm a big Aly & AJ fan.
*************************************************************
Cascada- "What Hurts the Most" video
http://exmmusic.blogspot.com/2007/11/ca ... -what.html

I think the song is a great song, regardless of who performs it. I'm not a big techno fan, though, so I much prefer the Rascal Flatts version.

I'm not feeling the 4th track, but everything else sounds good! I'm definitely going to buy the album when it comes out.

Here's the Pussycat Dolls new single "When I Grow Up", video says it's HQ but I doubt it. The new album is said to be out in Sept.

That link has full clips of 3 songs from Miley Cyrus' upcoming album "Breakout", due July 22!

I think that they all sound great! They apparently had 4 songs up, but the 4th has been taken down.

Hayden Panettiere's new single, "Wake Up Call".

I think that it's great! I've been anticipating her album for a year or 2- I like the other songs that she's done for various soundtracks and CDs. I've read a lot of bashing of this song, and I don't think that it deserves it.

I'll defintely be buying her album when it comes out!

Pop stars unite for charity tune

By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

LOS ANGELES - What would it sound like if 15 of the hottest female singers joined voices? The answer will be revealed Sept. 2.

That's when "Just Stand Up" hits the airwaves and iTunes. The song features Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, Rihanna, Fergie, Sheryl Crow, Miley Cyrus, Melissa Etheridge, Ashanti, Natasha Bedingfield, Keyshia Cole, Ciara, Leona Lewis, LeAnn Rimes and Carrie Underwood. All sales of the star-studded single will benefit cancer research.

The charity tune was conceived by Antonio "L.A." Reid, who produced it with longtime creative colleague Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds.

All 15 singers will share the stage to perform the song live on Sept. 5 during the "Stand Up to Cancer" television special, set to air simultaneously on ABC, NBC and CBS. Other stars expected to turn out for the hourlong fund-and awareness-raising program include Jennifer Aniston, Lance Armstrong, Katie Couric, Sally Field, Salma Hayek, Meryl Streep, Forest Whitaker and Reese Witherspoon.

Founded in 2007, Stand Up to Cancer is a program of the Entertainment Industry Foundation that calls on entertainment-industry people and platforms to help fight cancer.

This doesn't necessarily go in this thread, but I couldn't think of where else to put it.

tommy2.net says:

Tonight at 7pm Central, it’s a special 2 hour edition of The E! True Hollywood Story - Young Hollywood: A to Zac; Miley Cyrus, Zac Efron, and the Jonas Brothers.

I hadn't heard of this yet- I'm going to set up my DV-R right now! (Just make sure to check your local listings for the correct time- remember, the above quote says 7pm Central...)

There's no confirmation yet but I think it's likely that it'll be LoveGame (it might be subject to change, you never know). In the States LoveGame is the third single so I'm guessing Paparazzi will be the fourth and in the UK it'll be the other way around (Paparazzi third, LoveGame fourth).

New from Vanessa Hudgens: "Everything I Own" from the upcoming film Bandslam. I love it! If you know the song, this gives it a ska feel. Seriously. As much as I like 'NSync, I think I might like Vanessa's version more!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aic4-51Br4Y

(The song was originally a Matthew Sweet song, if I'm not mistaken, so it's not an 'NSync original, in case you didn't want to watch the video because of that!)

James:

When are you going to do as promised? Post information about new talent and new artists that have some value besides to the 'tweeny-boppers' that cruise this thread.

Why everyone thinks The Pussycat Dolls have any talent is beyond me. They are just a group of silicone-breast-implanted girls who can barely carry a tune, and have been busted many times for lip-syncing their music in concerts. That is not talent.

Three fourths of the people you mention in this thread I have never heard of, and I have never heard their music on the radio, or seen their CD's at Best Buy, where I get most all of my new music.

I am a big fan of some of the newer groups that are out there, I also enjoy Beyonce, Ne-O, Ashanti, and Miley Cyrus. But to mention people like Ashley Tisdale or any of the talentless Simpson sisters is beyond the best of taste. (Did you see Entertainment Tonight's feature on Britney Spears - she is so fat that all of her costumes have had to be let out several sizes, and she can't do the moves she used to because she is in such bad shape. Don't understand what everyone thinks is worth $500 a ticket to see this 'has-been'.)

Some of the music you have mentioned here is for a select group of people, not for everyone, and I think you need to expand your horizons to include new Pop artists and new Country artists. That might make this thread worth visiting once in a while.
The only way to watch movies - Original Aspect Ratio!!!!

Well, as a teeny-bopper, I don't care about everyone posted in this thread, but there definitely are people that I care about here. No one is going to like everyone else's complete tastes!

Then why don't you post about some new music that you like?!? :)

I like Ashley Tisdale and Jessica & Ashlee Simpson...and just because Britney might not be as skinny or toned as she once was (hello- she had 2 kids!) doesn't mean that people don't still like her music. That was just a cheap shot.

Any music (or movies, or anything) mentioned on a forum will be interesting to only a select group of people, not for everyone. As I said earlier, why don't you tell us about some of the new music that you're enjoying. Even though this is James' thread, myself and others have added posts about what we're into, and you can, too! :)

That was in bad taste to comment on Britney's weight. Like Amy said, she has recentley had two kids and suffered from depression. I think she is doing damn good for where she's coming from. I also do not think she's a "has-been" at all. She continues to be the Princess of Pop, and I'm sure she's more popular than the artists you listen to.

Im sorry for not meeting your standards DVDJunkie, I actually don't really post here anymore, and we dont have Best Buy in Australia so I wouldn't realy know about that....
I'm doing my HSC atm (equivalent to the SATS), and i dont have time to explain the reason for having a completely apt thread here. Make a new thread for your own artists....

And yeah, I'd like to see how u look after birthing two children and having the relentless media and public knock ur looks...

Free music! At MySpace you can pick up a free download of Naturally by Selena Gomez courtesy of Coke. Click here [http://www.myspace.com/formula-for-happiness] to for more details.

I just downloaded it- I've never gotten into the first single from her band, but I always like when this song comes on Radio Disney, so I'm glad to have it!

New song for Disney's Friends for Change- I'm not sure who sings in the recorded version, but this is Joe Jonas & Demi Lovato singing "Make a Wave":
