The CDs don't come with a printed code, though. You have to go to disneymovierewards.com/music, insert your CD, select it from the list (but your Java has to be up to date- mine apparently isn't, so I had to have Bobby do it for me on his computer), and then it'll give you a code, that you have to copy/paste (or write down & type) in the normal box where you type in codes. It's much more of a hassle than typing in a printed code, but I guess Disney won't have to worry about people selling codes this way. Unless they do, since people can always just email the code if they sell the code on eBay...
The really great part is that the code is randomly generated. Each DMR member can only use 1 code per CD, but we tried putting the CD in my boyfriend's computer, it generated a different code, and he too was able to get the 50 points. I am sure that Disney will realize the mistake and start just giving codes out after this.
On the new video intro, they mentioned briefly about Blu-ray upgrades, assumly meaning trading/upgrading from your DVD's to Blu-ray. Didn't see anything further on it on the site, but hopefully we'll get more information about it soon.
Today is my birthday and when I entered the code DMR sent me to get my 25 bonus points it said I was eligible for a free Disney Blu-Ray (there were five or so to pick from) and all I had to pay was $2.95 S&H. This was a birthday deal it seems. Now, I can't tell if doing this is signing me up for Disney Movie Club or anything like that where I will have to agree to pay for more movies in the future. I don't even have a Blu-Ray player, but if this deal is as good as it sounds, I'll take advantage of it (if only to have a Blu-Ray to regift). Has anyone else done this or know anything about it?
I did it. I paid the S&H and read all the fine print and didn't seem like anything else was required. I ordered the Enchanted BR because I've been really interested in the special features. Again, I don't have a BR player but I might get one in the future. Or I will simply give it to my sister who does have a player come Christmas or something and watch the features at her house. I mean why turn down a free BR?

I got an email, and also when I go to "My Account" there is an ad saying "Happy Birthday!" Click on it and it takes you to the page.
The selection of movies is terrible..
but still, free Blu-Ray is a free Blu-Ray. I'm holding out for a better selection (if they ever change it. It seems they have to eventually) but don't know if my free Blu-Ray disc will expire after a while.
I wasn't even informed on my account page. This sucks. I've been meaning to upgrade my Enchanted DVD to blu-ray for awhile, and the one chance I have to do that for free and the friggin' company forgets my birthday!
I discovered that Disney will accept a half.com transaction statement for a brand new DVD as a receipt (in this case it was for Lt. Robin Crusoe). Was pleased to see that since the movie was supposed to have points and didn't.

They've added a ton of "new" dvds including Follow Me Boys & Natty Gann (& if those 2 were ws I'd get them). Among the new ones is also Frank & Ollie SE (but at a whopping 1,075 point price for a single dvd). No new WDCC sculptures though.
15 gallon 7 pint blood donor as of 1-4-11. Done donating. Apparently having Cancer makes you kind of ineligible to donate.

Did you check your Spam/Junk folder? My birthday was Friday & my email was sent to my spam folder. I thought this a lil funny since it does not usually end up there.
I hope they still have that birthday deal next year and still have Enchanted as part of the offer. I have Enchanted on DVD already and a copy I bought from iTunes, but I really want the Blu Ray version for the cool trivia features (like all the little things about this came from this movie or this refers to this character).
Disney Channel died when they stopped airing movies with Haley mills (Parent Trap and Pollyanna) and fun adventure movies like Swiss Family Robinson. R.I.P. the REAL Disney Channel. Date of Death: When the shows became teenie bopperish.
