blackcauldron85/goofystitch day at Hollywood Studios

Post by goofystitch »

Last Monday, Amy and I (Alex) met up at Disney's Hollywood Studios. We rode Toy Story Mania twice and Amy improved her score, graduating from bunny to beaver. I still can't get above bobcat. We also did Rock N' Rollercoaster, Tower of Terror, One Man's Dream, Muppet Vision 3-D, Beauty and the Beast, Voyage of the Little Mermaid, The Great Movie Ride, and the animation tour. In the animation building, we got to see about a minute of The Princess and the Frog playing on monitors. It was the same scene three times. First in animatic form, then rough pencil animation, and then the final animation. There was no audio, but Amy remembered what was in the trailer. We took a commemorative photo with Disney/Pixar's newest stars, Carl, Russel, Dug, and Kevin.

We got a couple of pics with the Up gang, but other than that we didn't take any of us. I posted the best one.

Amy had her Mulan plush and Dug tried to eat her.

It is the animation building and no, Bolt and his friends have vacated to make room for Up. This is the usual trend for new characters. They are available there until the next animated feature comes out, whether it is Disney or Pixar. Character's usually return when there is demand for them. Disney has recently made new Bolt merchandise for the parks (a medium sized plush and a little one as part of the little pets series), so I have a feeling that we will at least see Bolt return for meet and greats, and hopefully Rhino and Mittens as well. After all, Chicken Little returned a year after his movie and wasn't "retired" until 2008 and Bolt seems to be more popular.

Aww, that came out really well! I had such a fun time! :)

And, yes, Dug put Mulan in his mouth. Bad Dug. But I told Dug that he's my favorite. I <3 that dog! :)

Lol @ Kevin pecking Carl's head! :)

Dug is so cute! I really hope Dug and the Up characters are still there when I return to Orlando in the fall. The last time I was there, Bolt was still there, so I haven't met the Up characters yet.

Goofystitch, that would be great if the Bolt characters return, as I LOVE that movie!
