Favorite Pixar Film

Post by Jack »

Vote for favorite Pixar film!

My favorite is Toy Story. Incredibly original, with fabulous characters that are extremely funny and entertaining - that alone would've been great. But there's also a great plot with twists and turns, letting Woody and Buzz's relationship to be fully explored, leading up to one of the coolest climaxes ever.

The rest of them are all great, but none quite reach the perfection of Toy Story.

I guess the Toy Story films were my favorites, but if I have to choose one, then Toy Story 1.

"A Bug's Life" hands down. I have been in love with that film since day 1.

I'll have to agree with the first two above. Toy Story is one of my favorite movies ever. Its characters, screenplay, and music really soar...to infinity and beyond! The film would have held a special position in film history for being the first full-length computer-animated feature, but that it happens to be such an amazing movie is just plain awesome. Pixar's still batting 1.000 but they've yet to top their first masterpiece.

My favorite's Finding Nemo. Everything about it just pops out at me. The cinematography and editing feel more live action-ish than Pixar's other films, and the score's very simple yet beautiful. I also love every single character in the film, whereas with something like Bug's Life, I only love half the characters and simply find the rest pleasant/okay. Nemo also is the most quotable of the Pixar films to me. Every scenes has a one-liner (usually multiple ones) while the other films either have more visual humor (Monsters, Inc.) or simply less one liners (Toy Story). Of course I love all of Pixar's films, but Nemo's the highlight for me, and not just because it's the most recent or the biggest money maker; I just simply find it to be closer to perfection than the others (which are also dangerously close to perfection).

I think the Toy Storys have the most heart, but I like them all (except Monster's Inc, which I wasn't crazy about, but also didn't give my undivided attention, so I'll rewatch it soon). As for why I picked Toy Story 2 over the first... I just addressed that in the TS vs. TS2 thread in this same forum. :)

Poor Monsters, Inc. is the only one without a single vote. :( I think MI is 2099's favorite Pixar film, so hopefully he'll stumble across this thread soon and vote.

I would have to say Finding Nemo so far is the best Pixar film. I really enjoyed the Toy Story flims, but the characters in Nemo just came to life better.

hands down "A Bug's Life".... It is the only Pixar film that is not about two buddies in search for another buddy. A brilliant film :frog:

I liked Monsters Inc. The plot was nice, characters had personality, nicely paced... I liked it quite a lot. Though Finding Nemo would be a close number two.
