my asthma has been really bad this year

Post by bradhig »

My asthma has been bad this year because of allergies mostly lots of tree pollen. I was in the hospital for three days a couple of weeks ago and it looked like the problem was over but now its acting up again and I am having a hard time breathing but not like what sent me to the hospital. Anyone else having problems with allergies and asthma?

Sorry to hear about that buddy. The only allergies I'm having trouble with at the mo is hayfever but that's probably nothing compared to your problems.

I have pretty crazy allergies- some weeks I have to take an allergy pill every day. And I had to use my inhaler for the first time in a long time the other day (I have asthma, too). Sorry that you're having problems, too. :(

Me too. My hayfever has been worse this year than during the last years and I need to use my inhaler every night before I go to bed, so that I can sleep better. Yeah, it's been worse this year.

I had to go to the ER last night cause I had breathing trouble. I got two breathing treatments and a shot of something to clear up my lungs. One guy at the hospital said St Louis is the worst place for asthma.

Bleh, that sucks. I used to wish people could just get breathing treatments at home.

My asthma used to get really bad at times when I still lived in the midwest, especially during the fall. I seem to be allergic to everything out there. Leaf burning was encouraged in the town I grew up in, and every time someone burned leaves it seemed it sent several of us asthmatics to the hospital.

I live in the desert now and luckily that seems to have made a difference, although I still occasionally have problems it's nothing compared to how I used to get.

We had a mid winter and the trees started blooming in February which which lead to the worst allergy season in a long time and now the Cottonwood is flying around.

My asthma has been pretty much okay this year. I rarely need to take breathing treatments. My allergie, on the other hand..

The only allergies I have are dust allergies. Sometimes, my nose runs 24/7, other times, it's clean as a whistle.
