Lost: The First Season
I have four episodes left of the first season, and I completely forgot how bloody brilliant it was. I forgot half of the stuff, but I absolutely love it. I plan on buying the first season (and possibly the rest) on Blu-ray. If there is a complete series Lost blu-ray box set, I am totally going to get it. I can't believe there is only one season left. What will ever happen to my life? (:P)

On another forum, a guy gave the series (or season 1, anyway) 2/10.PeterPanfan wrote:I'm reading the book series it was based on, and if the show is anything like the books, it will be amazing!xxhplinkxx wrote: Nice! I can't wait to watch that show.
I'd definitely say it's a lot higher than that. I'm starting episode 7, and it's pretty engaging.
I was sad to see one character killed off (episode 5-6).

I finished True Blood Season 1, definitely higher than the 2/10 that other forum guy gave it...
I could see this taking off, and being the new Buffy for adults (well, not really anything like it, except it has Vampires.)
It's based on an established book series, there's some humor in it, but mostly drama, vampires (which seem to be gaining in popularity,) interesting characters, *other* mythological beings besids vampires, nudity/violence (like other HBO shows) and so on...
Speaking of Buffy, I need to go back and finish that OTHER Joss Whedon series, Firefly...
After that comes Buffy & Angel, and a new DVD for Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog comes out next week.

Just finished:
Disney's Army Wives - Season Two in time for Season Three to start this Sunday night.
Don't know how many others here watch this show, but next to "Desperate Housewives" it is probably the best written show on television today. It has it all, a great cast which features Kim Delaney and Catherine Bell, great writing, and really good stories to keep you wanting to come back each week.

How I Met Your Mother: Season Three - I honestly don't know what to think of this season. I enjoyed the first episode, especially since Mandy Moore was in it. I actually forget most of the episodes, and I just finished them last night. I really like Syliva, and the actress that plays her, Sarah Chalke. Lily and Robin continue to be my favorite characters. Ted annoyed me this season, as did Barney for some reason, who is usually my favorite male character. That leaves Marshall to be my guy favorite, and I don't honestly like him much either.
Robin Sparkles' song, "Sandcastles in the Sand" was a highlight for this season, although I wasn't too fond of the episode, because of both Robin's old boyfriend and Robin and Barney sleeping together. I also thought Ted was stupid to forgive Robin, yet totally remove Barney from his life. I heard that Britney Spears did a decent job with her acting, but I thought she was horrible. I am a fan of her, and love her music, but her acting skills are so by-the-book, that I couldn't really appreciate her character, Abby. Anyway, I would probably rank this season as my second favorite, following the second season, and leaving the first season as my least favorite, although I do still enjoy it.

so notTORIous: The Complete Series - I absolutely LOVED this short-lived show. I did have my assumptions about Tori Spelling before watching this, but all of that speculation was transformed into admiration for being able to make fun of herself and her life. All of the rumors were put to risk, and she leaves no secrets unanswered. It was in actual sitcom form, too, instead of, say, a mockumentary show like The Comeback. Zachary Quinto was very good as Sasan, Tori's gay best friend (Such a difference from Sylar from Heroes.) Mimi La Rue, the famous dog, was present in every episode. Kiki, who was based off of infamous Candy Spelling, was hilarious, as was Nanny. Overall a strong reccomendation from a series that should have lasted for more than half a season. The bonus features on the set were also substantial, featuring an interview with every castmember and some of the crew, and about 12 featuruettes, along with deleted scenes, episode commentary, episode trailers, outtakes, and a DVD-exclusive episode.

One Tree Hill: The Complete Fifth Season - Now I'm all caught up with the DVD releases.
Anyway, this hes been one hell of a year (er, season.) I honestly don't know what to make of it. I'm happy that Lucas and Lindsay didn't marry each other, because Lucas/Peyton. Dan should have been killed. Jamie was adorable, as was Angie, although I don't know if I really want Brooke to be a mom. I'm glad that Haley and Nathan ended their fighting, and that she is recording new music now. The nanny, Carrie, was incredibly creepy, and I have a feeling she'll return. I loved Mia, and hope she becomes an even bigger part of season six. Skillz is Skillz, and I hated "Q." I loved Mouth and Millicent together, and disliked Brooke's boyfriend. I really, really hope we see more of Rachel in the next season, as she was only barely in two episodes this season. Brooke's mom was a bitch, and so was Peyton this season.
All in all, this was a mediocre season.

I'm on the last disc of The Super Mario Bros. Super Show volume 1...
EDIT:
I haven't finished the above yet, but I started It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Seasons 1 & 2.
I laugh, but I cringe at some moments. The show isn't really growing on me, and I don't see myself watching it again after I finish this set. I have the second volume, and I think I am going to return it unopened and save some money.

I just finished:
Ugly Betty: The Complete First Season
Ugly Betty: The Complete Second Season
This is definitely one of my top five favorite shows. There is so much humor and I'm so glad that I've been watching this every since the premier. I can't wait for the third season to hit the stores on September 22 and I am really pumped for the fourth season to start (Betty is getting her braces off!)
