Now time to rub that in the faces of all the people who kept telling me that Hannah Montana was going to end immediatly after the movie. Ha, ha.

I'm competitive, and hold grudges.

Even though I'm not a fan... at all. I heard on the news today that the family was indeed moving away from malibu in the series. Just thought those of you who enjoy the show would like to know.

(Just go to the homepage to see the artwork.)
Here’s the artwork and tracklist for the Hannah Montana 3 soundtrack, which has been moved up a week to July 7th.

1. It’s All Right Here
2. Let’s Do This
3. Mixed Up
4. He Could Be The One
5. Just A Girl
6. I Wanna Know You (featuring David Archuleta)
7. Supergirl
8. Every Part Of Me*
9. Ice Cream Freeze (Let’s Chill)
10. Don’t Wanna Be Torn
11. Let’s Get Crazy
12. I Wanna Know You
13. Mitchel Musso - Let’s Make This Last 4ever
14. If We Were A Movie (featuring Corbin Bleu)

It also looks as if they’ve canceled the bonus DVD aspect of it. However, the enhanced Unlock More Rock feature will include a never-before-seen Hannah Montana concert video.

(*Could this be the same song previously recorded by Jump5? Probably not… but wouldn’t that be cool?)

It’s Official, Miley Cyrus has announced her 2009 North American Tour. The opening act will be Metro Station featuring Trace Cyrus.

This tour will serve as the first test for Ticketmaster’s new paperless ticketing system. Basically, you will be required to purchase tickets with a credit card. To gain admittance to the venue, you will have to show your ID and the credit card you used to purchase tickets. Then you will be given a seat locator slip and your group must enter together.

As always, where there’s a will there’s a way. Although Ticketmaster is stating Gift Credit Cards will not be accepted… it could be challenged by potential buyers. Finally, scalping may for the first time come with a new feature - an escort to take you with two other guest to your seat. That will be interesting?

Ultimately, who wins here? Nobody. It’s going to be a hassle, long lines and delays will cause many to miss the opening act, and the shows will sellout leaving people upset that they couldn’t get tickets. Here are the dates:

Still, even as a fan I can point out its shortcomings. For starters they have GOT to get a more realistic laugh track.

Also, they seem to have really downplayed the "Hannah Montana" portion, as most episodes I've seen in recent months focus more on Miley than on Miley as Hannah. That's not really a complaint, I always preferred the Miley stories over the Miley as Hannah ones. But still, I like a healthy balance between the two.

Can someone please get rid of Rico? He's more annoying than Jackson, and I only tolerate Jackson because he plays off well against Miley (the Jacksannah episode being a great, if overdone, example). Rico is about as useless as Amber & Ashley, who thankfully have been used less than they were before.

Oliver has been downgraded as far as appearances go, he never seems to be part of the A-story anymore, which is a pity. I think the best thing his character has done was his flour sack baby with the always environmentally-friendly Sarah was priceless. I'd like Sarah to become a contract character (replace Rico with her!) and let them further explore the Oliver/Sarah angle.

I miss Jake Ryan. Sure he was a bit of a creep when he first appeared, and a bit of a jerk when he returned, but he redeemed himself with his latest appearance. It'd be great to see his character's relationship with Miley develop further beyond the I-love-you-no-wait-I-only-like-you-but-I-really-love-you cycle.

And of course, Lilly is perhaps the best reason to watch the show. She's more talented, more entertaining, and more comedic than Miley/Hannah. Disney should really begin prepping a Lilly spin-off when Hannah Montana reaches its eventual end.

Scaps
I think before 2008 it was 90% Hannah, 5% Miley, 5% Jackson

Now it's The Opposite 90% M, 2% H, 8% J

Yeah, because Billy Ray and Miley seem determined to wreck-it.
Billy Ray Cyrus is doing his best acting job yet -- by pretending that he and Miley are excited about a new season of "Hannah Montana."

Disney has just picked a fourth season of Miley's show, which, according to Billy Ray, was all Miley's choice. But we doubt that's the case. First of all, as EW points out, she was under contract -- you know, a legal document that forces you to do things, regardless of your opinion.

Secondly, as we told you last year, Billy Ray and Miley feel there is more money in her music career. So Billy Ray and Miley started showing up late to "Hannah" tapings, stalling production and fighting with co-stars -- all to try and force Disney's hand.

Looks like Miley's getting some tough love from her "parents," aka Disney's legal team.
Sigh. Another example of a "star" forgetting what exactly it was that made them a star in the first place.

that article sounds very similar to that other supposedly false report that happened before the movie came out.

anyhow, if it is true i'm not surprised. miley and billy are the worse actors on the show, it's probably really embarassing

Although it could possibly be true, I wouldn't take TMZ's word for anything. And I don't think it would be that much of a crime if Miley actually wanted to separate herself from Disney--because, while you are at Disney, you'll always be limited in ways. That's part of the deal, of course, but she's given a lot of money to Disney already. I don't think it's at all arrogant to want to pursue other things.

The question is, could Miley be successful at anything other than what she's been? Hmm.

The "Deal" is to stick to your contract. If she was contracted for up to 4 years, she has to do 4 years (if Disney want her). She'll have her chance to leave when the contract is up for renewal. It is not professional to muck people about, hoping for an early release.

Being as Miley is (according to IMDB) in 3 upcoming films (The Last Song, Further Adventures in Babysitting and Girls Just Want to Have Fun) and obviously she obviously does want to promote her singing more, I find the TMZ report of Miley and Billy wanting to get out of Hannah Montanna ASAP much more believable than reports of Miley "wanting" to do a fourth season so the show had a proper end. It's just had a theatrical motion picture for crying out loud - a much more "definitive" ending than 95% of all TV shows ever get.

Of course, its criminal (in my opinion) for Disney to even sign up somebody so young for a four year contract - nobody that young can make an informed and considered decision. However, in Miley's case, she had a show business aware father, so I place the blame equally with Disney and Billy. But ultimately, she should still honour the contract without complaint. Without the contract, she wouldn't be making films or filling concert stadiums at all.

I don't have any comments about Hannah Montana, just this forced "paperless ticket" foolishness.

I think it SUCKS!

Basically, they are blackballing anyone who doesn't have a credit card from attending concerts. I would have no problem with it if it were an OPTION, but making it the ONLY way to see a show is just plain wrong!

While I am qualified to have a credit card, I have never wanted or had one because I like the privacy, anonymity, and convenience of CASH! With cash, no corporate scum can track my buying habits and sell this data to the equally scummy "information brokers" to create, resell, and profit from a "consumer profile" on me if they don't know what I'm buying! I'm a human being, not a commodity!

This absurd policy needs to change!

This policy should be illegal. They should be required by federal law to provide at least one option in place for using cash, such as going to the venue in person to buy tickets. After all, "Washingtons", "Lincolns", and "Benjamins" are all "legal tender". Paper money says, and I quote:

"This note is legal tender for ALL debts, public and private".

Hopefully this will lead to a class-action lawsuit or something against Ticketmaster where cash-users ban together and cry foul discrimination!

What's next? Will there be a day where one cannot buy DVDs, go to the movies, or get a WDW Season Pass or admission ticket without a credit card?

Scary and Orwellian; and downright un-American. Thanks, Big Brother.
