I've never participated in this thread before, but it's kind of fun to see what movies people have been buying. I went shopping today. I got Brother Bear at Wal-Mart for $15.96. Best Buy had a special deal where you could get 3 movies for $20 ($6.67 each), so I got Air Force One, Easy Rider and for my third choice I wanted Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon but they were sold out  so I got The Great Muppet Caper instead.

Alas, there aren't any Wal-Marts (or as I affectionately call them - Sprawl-Marts :P) near my house, and I've never known of a Costco 'round here - although there seems to be one semi-close in St. Louis Park... *shrug* So my nearest choices are Target and Best Buy, and I usually choose the latter.

Anyhoo, got Brother Bear at Best Buy, and using the $5-off another Disney title dealy, I got Fox and the Hound for $10. w00t. :D

Well I haven't been on here in awhile but I've picked up in the last few weeks and today:

Face/Off-one of my favorite action films ever
Schindler's List-a moving film required viewing
Something's Gotta Give-very funny film
Today:
Brother Bear-not a favorite but still I need to have a complete collection of Disney animated films
and in the same purchase
Texas Chainsaw Massacre the remake from last year-a pretty scary and effective film.

The cashier at Best Buy actually said interesting choices to me when I purchased them.

Well, I should have a few arrive this week and next week, and then I'll have a long drought (until the Treasures, and then an even longer one until about August/September with a BIG order).

Today the following arrived:

- Cinderella II: Dreams Come True
- Pocahontas II: Journey to the New World

Yes, I know. But they were literally bargain bin prices ($17.95 AU - or 13.50 US).

The other bargain I got was:
- The Return of the Living
It was only 10.98 CDN (just over $8 US) with FREE postage from Canada! So, that was pretty awesome. It comes with commentary from Dan O'Bannon and a few other things, so it was a really great deal...

More horror next week I hope...

Yay! Postal strike over (actually it's not, but who cares, my post came) so we now have:

Brother Bear
T3 (it was cheap)
Buffy S7

sorry guys, but Buffy season seven gets priority, being as I've made an effort to not watch any episodes on TV and save them all for the DVD set.
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

Well, the second of my major parcels came this week. I think only one or two single items are left. However, this parcel contained:

- Brother Bear
- Freddy vs Jason
- Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003 remake - 2 Disc New Line Platinum Edition) - completely impractical, but very cool cover I might add. Has a little metal "plate" that isn't held on by anything, but the cardboard folds out into a chainsaw :)

Looks like I have my Easter long weekend well and truly planned!

I just got Brother Bear for $19.99 at my local Borders store (Sorry Luke! :( ). I haven't watched it yet, but I will tomorrow. I didn't see this movie in theaters but it did look good to me so I decided to buy it, who knows, maybe The Hunchback of Notre Dame isn't the last masterpiece anymore.

:)
