Oh yeah, there's been buzz about that forever.

What's more surprising to me is that American Dad has 100 episodes already.

It's the best show no one's watching.

Family Guy has gone down the drain. American Dad is consistently smart and funny. It's by far my favorite out of all the animated sitcoms currently on TV.

Not that I don't watch it, I do; I agree, it's really funny. I just didn't think it was already at 100 eps, that's all.

I'm looking forward to "Something, Something, Something Dark Side" (to air sometime this year) and it's sequel "Episode VI: The Great Muppet Caper" (which just started production) more so than the movie.

I almost feel cheated with the new American Dad set (haven't bought it yet.)

It is just a keepcase, and it looks like it's pretty light on episodes, as well.

All for the LOW LOW PRICE of $39.99!!! Well, about 25-30 in stores... I paid $17 for the last two volumes...

You're right, because actually the season 4 finale puts the current total of aired episodes at 78. Wich means the 100th celebration must mean that production has started on the 100th episode.

I think the 100th episode won't air untill the end of next season.

oh and I'm glad to see some love for American Dad. It doesn't belong in Family Guy's shadow. It has become to Family Guy what Futurama was to the Simpsons.

Whoops, it's even HIGHER at Best Buy - 34.99! I think I will be waiting a while to get this one.

I really do not care for Family Guy anymore. It just isn't as funny as it used to be before it got revived.

American Dad! is an okay show, but like Family Guy, it's not really funny.

I do agree that Family Guy certainly has lost some of its charm and wit. It's not as funny anymore as it used to be, but last week's episode was great ("Everything's better with a bag of weed" ).
Maybe a movie might be the creative push they need to get the show back on track.
However, right now I am more psyched about Something, Something, Something Dark Side.

I don't really like either... both rely too heavily on cheap, easy writing with little thought to story or character development, which are, you know, fun things to have in writing. Manatee Jokes, anyone?

I think there's a reason why "American Dad" lives in the "shadow" of "Family Guy". As bad as I think "Family Guy" is, "American Dad" is even worse. I forgot that show was even still on...

I'm not usually too hot on sex/drugs/religion jokes, but Family Guy is very clever. Seth Mcfarlane plays with smart subjects, people don't give him enough credit because of the stupidity of his characters. American Dad is too plain, I won't judge you if you like it, it's very similar humor to Family Guy, a show I like.

wow. So eventhough you don't watch it you know it's worse than Family Guy. That makes sense.

I never said I don't watch it. I said I forgot it was still on, as in I have seen it, dismissed it, and forgot about it. Make sense?

sure, my advice, watch some newer episodes. If you still hate it, we're fine. :)

I used to not like Family Guy(thought it was another entirely stupid comedy series), but when I actually started watching it, I enjoyed it.

I'll pretend you didn't say that. And yes, my comment above is more or less a reply to yours.
