AND a digital copy! Don't forget the digital copy! Thank God we have that as opposed to, you know, anything of substance.

Maybe I'll pick this up. I haven't seen it in years, never owned it on any format, so I don't know, probably.

Hey, now who wouldn't want a shiny mug coaster for their coffee table?

Anyway, yeah, it sucks that they're rather slap a digital copy to a DVD over doing some digging to round up a decent amount of behind-the-scenes material. I dub this method: Lazy Disney's Bypass.

How nice I was just thinking I'd like to have it on DVD and for me a digital copy is a grand plus. :) Hope to here something official for R1 soon.

I only rented this movie a few times back in 2000 and I really do not care to have it in my collection. I will take the classic Winnie the Pooh cartoons over this and the other recent Winnie the Pooh movies (and tv shows) any day.

I'm afraid I was never much into the whole Winnie the Pooh series and haven't seen this film (or any outside of the Many Adventures). Maybe I could give it a fresh look?

One of my friends actually worked on the film and even he hasn't bothered to actually sit down and watch it.

I've seen this movie a couple of times on the Disney Channel, and I really enjoyed it. In my opinion, it's definately the best of the modern Pooh movies. I don't care at all about the digital copy, but I'd like to own the movie, so I'll probably buy it.

I'm not expecting much in the way of extras, though. After all, it is a Pooh release that's not the original movie, meaning Disney will market it exclusively to preschoolers. (Though I do wonder how many preschoolers will care about digital copies.) They'll probably just take all the extras from the old disc and add a game or an episode of the new CGI show. It'd be really nice if they added a deleted scene or two, or even a basic, fluffy behind-the-scenes featurette, but the most we can probably hope for is that they keep the trailer on it.

I really hoped that Disney would put some effort in this re-release since besides the original this is the best Pooh movie they've made. Well, at least we'll get a shiny slipcover out of it.

I think this DVD has already been released in australia... I may be mistaken however.

This film is great. Better than a few DACs to be honest (such as Aladdin  ). It's one if the few disney movies that give me that warm feeling inside.

I remember seeing this way back when, so I am excited for it. Digital Copy is whatever, but two new Pooh cartoons is good.

But what is this secret release? "crosses fingers for Hunchback or Hercules"

The secret release is Race to Witch Mountain. It's mentioned on the Upcoming Disney DVD Release Schedule. Then again, The Black Cauldron might be released as well on August 4th, since the film was released on video for the first time in August 1998.

I was thinking Black Cauldron, but then again, we already knew that it was going to be released. Same with Race to Witch Mountain....

I think it is going to be something different.
