My family loves this movie, but I have to say, if the new release is the same transfer as the DMC version, it is an absolutely awful transfer. One of the worst I've ever seen. It looks like an old VHS tape. I know the film came to VHS in the early 90's, and this is likely the same exact transfer used for that 90's release.
In "The Age of Not Believing" from TMC, they showed clips from The Story of Robin Hood and the footage was gorgeous -- there is obviously a remastered transfer sitting around in the Disney archives. HOPEFULLY it will be used for this release, but I'm not holding my breath.
Has anybody seen Robin Hood on store shelves yet? I thought this was supposed to come out last week. I haven't seen it anywhere here locally yet.
