CINDERELLA IN Fairytale Forest in De Efteling (Holland)!!!!!
I was you surfing on the internet and I came on the site of the Efteling.
It's a fairy tale park in The Netherlands (Holland) and it is very well known. Expecially the Fairy tale forest.
So I wanted to show you all.
Let's start with my favourite one:
The Little Match Girl
The story is kinda sad, but the show is just beautiful.
http://nl.youtube.com/watch?v=LTrXCvhv7 ... re=related
(yes, it is a animatronic)
Then there is the Magic Mirror from Snow white.
On this clip you can't see it very clear, but It's really cool
It's the moment the mirror tels her Snow white's still alive:

Here you see the movie you see on the mirror only:

and that were my favourite ones!
Here is a video with other ones:

and the wikipedia page:

(I know this isn't about a real Disney park, but I don't know where to share this.)

It's a (sort of) fairy tale park in holland and it is very well known.
So my question is: Who has ever been in that park?

(I know this isn't about a real Disney park, but I don't know where to ask this.)
I have also been to DisneyLand (California) and Walt Disney World (Florida), so I think I can compare the Efteling with these Disney parks.
In its essence, I think both the Disney parks and the Efteling are both equal. They are both entertainment parks with a specific ambiance. I personally do think however, that the Disney parks in general more appeal to grown ups than does the Efteling.
The attractions at the Efteling are also very well done and detailed. The fairy tale forest is especially very nice for little children as it displays a lot of scenes from a lot of very well known fairy tales (mostly brothers Grimm). The fairy tale forest is also a real place for relaxing as opposed to some of the more crowded areas at the bigger attractions.
One of the (older) attractions is the wild water ride Piranha. This is in no way comparable to the wild water rides in the Disney parks. These make the Piranha seem something like the Jungle Cruise, but without the animals.
The Fata Morgana is also very nice. It is a ride like the Pirates of the Caribbean, but set in the middle east.
If I would have to choose for myself, I would choose a Disney park above the Efteling, but when I would have to choose for a little child, I would definitely go to the Efteling (first before taking it to a Disney park

I saw the website, I think that looks like a lovely park, I would defenitly go there if I went to Holland.
I've been to a similar park which was in Cologne, Germany called Phantasialand, I loved it.

Fairy Tale Forest in De Efteling
It's beautiful, and you feel for Cinderella when her stepsisters yell at her, and how do they do that unbelievably amazing magical effect on her dress when she fits the slipper? This park is something special!
Yes, please translate Assepoester for me!

It looks a little like Peppers Ghost (if only because I saw a reflection of the light in the door on glass at one point)Disney Duster wrote:It's beautiful, and you feel for Cinderella when her stepsisters yell at her, and how do they do that unbelievably amazing magical effect on her dress when she fits the slipper? This is going to be a long post...
Specially for Disney Duster!
Also note that the lines she says rhyme in dutch, but they don't here.
By the way, I also added some notes *between the stars* to show when she says it, and what happens then.
---------
It has already been a while ago,
But I’ll never forget…
How miracles brought the prince and me together, for always.
The prince had invited all the girls from his kingdom,
For his ball, hoping to find the one he could ask her hand.
My stepsisters, full of cupidity, were also invited.
And I, the maid, wasn’t allowed to come…
I had to clean, because they thought that was appropriate for me.
*Door opens and you hear the stepsisters (so you don’t see them). They tell Cinderella to do some chores, this is what they say:
Stepsister 1: Cinderella, why aren’t you cleaning our shoes!
Stepsister 2: Mine first!
S1: How do you mean: Mine first?! Mine first!
S2: No mine!
S1: hurry up, you lazy cow! Because we are going to the ball!
S2: Yes, to the ball, and the prince too!
S1,2: [laughing].Door closes and Cinderella continues.*
When they were already off to the Ball,
I went to my mother’s grave, and I cried.
A dress made of gold and a pair of glass slippers, were, what her good spirit gave to me.
Her voice, so clear, spoke: Go quickly, but, by the gleam of the moon,
Before the clock strikes twelve, you must go, then, the ball is done for you.
*Music box opens to reveal two dancing figures (Cindy and the prince) and starts playing*
I went to the ball, looking just like a lady.
He asked me to dance, the prince…
We fell in love at first sight. We were shy, even blooming…
*Music box closes and clock starts striking*
Then, before I knew it, the clock stroke twelve!
The dream had come to an end…
I had to run from the ball, quickly, back to my house…
Goodbye, my dear prince.
*Clock stops striking, after twelve times, off course*
While I was running, I lost,
My glass slipper at the castle.
The prince found it on the stairs,
This magical beautiful jewel.
Across the land, he went to find,
*Spotlight on Cinderella*
...me, the girl of his dreams.
Only one girl fits the slipper,
Finally, time has come for me…
*They do the shoe- fitting, and…it fits!
Who would have guessed that!?
*
Specially for Disney Duster!

Fairy Tale Forest in De Efteling
Thank you Talies! It was a beautiful way to tell the story. Interesting mix of the Perrault and Grimm versions. I swear the coach in the background is meant to be a pumpkin coach.

The animatronics were really really articulate and smooth moving! So impressive! I wonder how Disney's newest animatronic figure (Robobama) compares.
Ahhhh, I need to go here and see the whole Fairy Tale forest for myself! It looks sooooo cool!! I think Epcot should have these little houses too at each pavilion. Not a ride or anything, just a little cottage or something that shows which Disney characters are from that country.
