I absolutely [b]LOVE[/b] Tomorrow Transit Authority you get to see things you wouldn't see otherwise. You can't really get a feel for how suprisingly big Tomorrowland is unless you ride this ride. Another thing I like about Tomorrowland Transit Authoriy is that toward the end they mention the robotic mayor of Tomorrowland Tom Morrow . Though if you atually want ot see Tom Morrow you have to go to Inoventions in DisneyLAND's Tomorrowland.
I rode it when we visited Disney world but it broke down several times that day and I could see people stuck on it. Any ideas what the problem might be.
I was at Magic Kingdom yesterday, and the TTA was closed for "refurbishment". I'm not sure if it's actually getting refurbished, or if it's just closed since Space Mountain is closed and being refurbished (since you travel through Space Mountain on your TTA journey).
Yes, the timing of the rehab is because of Space Mountain, although they are using this opportunity to do some technical refurbishments to TTA as well.
Not sure if this is true, but I've been told the show content of TTA (the spiels, narration, and interior scenes) will remain the same. Of course, since it passes through Space Mountain, that aspect of the experience will likely be different in some way, depending on how much is changed inside the mountain.
Although SM is not scheduled to reopen until November, TTA is currently scheduled for an August reopening, which may be a good way to get a sneak peak at the interior of the mountain.
Getting back to the original question, I love TTA - an underated, scenic little gem that due to its capacity is never much of a wait. For this reason, most castmembers will allow re-rides without having to disembark, unless the line gets really long, which is rare!
Whenever I'm in Tomorrowland and Space Mountain goes down, I like to hop on the TTA, even if I've already ridden it that day, because it's a great oppurtunity to see the SM track with the lights on.
And as others have mentioned, it's a fantastic night ride as well, traveling through the cool night breeze while viewing all the beautiful neon that is Tomorrowland after dark.

Awe man, they changed the TTA narration. It now sound like they're trying to sell you something and no longer has the old narrator. See for yourself and make your own judgments:
I hate it. It's no longer is part of the theme talking about being in the city of tomorrow and now just tells you about the actual "park". The classic-ness is gone (paging Tom Morrow anyone?)
Why is it most of Disney's updates/upgrades always seem like a step back?
I love TTA. My family decided to randomly ride it on out 2007 trip, and we thought it was nice and relaxing and it was a good look at the other rides. We rode it again in 2008.

Now that's just disappointing. I'm going to be down for Christmas anyways so I didn't watch it all because I don't want to be spoiled from the surprise but I hate it when they change things so unnecessarily. I mean, it really disappointed me when they removed Jeremy Irons from Spaceship Earth (was my favorite ride in all of the World) and gave Judi Dench a dumb down script and now this.

Exactly. The new script is poorly written and Dench just doesn't deliver as eloquently as Irons did. The whole thing, especially the ending (feels like an iPhone app), seems dumbed down from the previous version (new animatronics and lighting being exceptions)

I disagree. Neither of those updated narrations are "dumbing-downs".
I see the updated TTA narration is a throwback to the ride's original narrators of the 1970's and 1980's, including the ORAC-1 Commuter Computer. Think of it as going back to the basics and returning the ride to its original purpose of giving full-length descriptions of each of the land's attractions, which is what the original narrations did and what the narrations of Disneyland's PeopleMover did for many years.
Folks need to understand that change is a constant thing in Disney's parks. And that includes attraction narrations, which have changed several times before they implemented the ones that you love and now miss.
In these cases, the TTA and SSE narrations had to be updated to reflect the major changes that have since occured within those attractions and surrounding areas.
It's one of my favourite rides in the park. I just love Tomorrowland and the corny jokes, and the neon and all that.
It's also a ride that my family really take in together, facing each other and at a slow enough pace that we can talk.
I dunno, just a lot of fond memories of it I guess.
