Why not? She tried to hurl a giant diamond on you in Snow White's Adventures, so a giant apple isn't too far fetched.Julian Carter wrote:Me thinks Queenie wants to drop the apple on Snow White. You have to hand it to her - she's a criminal mastermind!

No, Snow White's (Scary) Adventures are dark rides in Fantasyland in every Disney Magic Kingdom theme park in California, Florida, Tokyo, and Paris. It's a dark ride that takes you through the environments of the film. In the original 1971-1994 version of the Walt Disney World version of the ride, the Witch hurled a giant diamond on you in the diamond mine scene at the climax.

That ride scared the crap out of me as a kid! I remember having my eyes closed the entire time. The Queen in the beginning of the ride that's looking at you from the window freaked me out throughout the whole ride.

I need them! I was deprived of the Seven Dwarfs in Christmas 1989 (bloody toy horse...), but not this time! Christmas 2009 I will get what's rightfully mine!Souperman wrote:That was the set I orignally wanted...but do I need dolls? I dunno they would be cool but I'm not so sure.

If this post seems a little more odd than usual...well, it is. Cause in Christmas 1989, I asked Santa for a set of Seven Dwarfs, while Jane asked for a pony. Come Christmas day...Jane got Seven Dwarfs, and I got a toy horse. And even though we both were aware that we had the wrong gifts, Jane and I accepted them. I was afraid Santa would "see" that I was ungrateful and not give me gifts the following year. So all I did with that toy horse was braid its tail, and then it stood proudly on a shelf for the next...ten years of its life. After that it finally went into storage with a lot of other old toys.

It wasn't a My Little Pony, it was just some generic brand horse. Perfect for Jane's Barbies, but utterly useless for me (and later on, for my Star Trek figures).

I used to LOVE that ride, I still do, I used to ride it 5 times in a row sometimes, and I couldn't care less about queues.xxhplinkxx wrote:That ride scared the crap out of me as a kid! I was a freak and a semigoth since infancy !
Wow.... They are kind of smushed. Anyway, I like that it has the DVD cover Blu Ray. I hope the limited edition has a choice of the packaging.

Ok, so what is that set, how much does it cost? My evil side is getting the best of me, I may have to break out the charge card and go for it!

Disney Merchandising for Snow White Blu Ray Platinum Edition
I'm looking forward to seeing what tie in merchandising Disney are doing for Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs !!
Amazon.com has already announced a Gustaf Tenggren illustrated version , ( to be released in August 2009 ) , Tenggren was one of the inspirational artists who worked for Disney on this movie and on Pinocchio too, and he was responsible for the Arthur Rackham inspired art for the original poster , which is readily available to buy as a reproduction!
Other diehard Snow White fans should check out the fabulous ( and sadly currently out of print !!! ) coffee table book Blanche Neige by French Author Pierre Lambert , who was also reponsible for the lavish Pinocchio and Mickey Mouse. This books knocks spots off the Steven Ison Disney book Snow White An Art In It's Making , for sheer quality the Lambert book is very hard to beat!
I can only assume that the Disney publishing arm was contractuarally prevented by Ison from publishing an English language version of Blanche Neige as this book should really have been seen by a far larger audience , I think some secondhand copies may be available on www.amazon.fr

It's the $80 set with the Blu-Ray and Seven Dwarfs plushes. The reason I was typing so excitedly was because of a longrunning joke in my family.Pluto Region1 wrote:Escapay wrote: I need them! You're welcome! I have fond memories of the original version as it one of the first rides I went on as a child to my first trip to Disney World. And like plinky I closed my eyes the first time, but then rode it again because I wanted to see what I missed.a-net-fan wrote:COOL thanks for the link! I remember that version! And how many more editions of Snow White are they going to have? How about the Queen Special Edition set? It's shaped like the box, and comes with a replica of the heart the Huntsman used to fool Grimhilde.
