I saw the recent trailer in 3D before Monsters Vs Aliens, and it looks pretty good. The flatness of some scenes was noticeable, as well as the dimension of others.

And it was funny, of course.

Pixar movies are probably the highlight of my year. I always look forward to them as they have never failed me. I LOVE all the Pixar movies and am greatly looking forward to this film. I am especially excited that it is in 3-D!

I SAW UP!!

I got an email today of an invite to see a special screening of Up here in Austin, TX.

I have NEVER had SOOOO MUCH FUN at a movie in the longest time!!! I think it may go down as one of my favorite Pixar movies (not better than Wall-E but better than The Incredibles).

I really don't want to spoil it but I will tell you SEEE THIS MOVIE. I laughed, I cried, my heart raced.

It's perfectly paced and just a thrill from start to finish!!

oh and it was in 2D and not 3D. Which i liked. I don't like how 3D glasses tint the colors of the movie. I recommend watching it in 2D because the colors are magnificent.

Pixar outstands again. This is the clear winner of the Best Animated Feature at the Oscars unless The Princess and the Frog dazzles even more.

Grade: 10/10. Can't think of one flaw in the whole movie.

Oh wow, thanks for the review.

So far I haven't thought this film to look too spectacular. However, I was giving it the benefit of the doubt since it's from Pixar. I'm so glad to hear good things about this film, I'm really excited to see it now.

That is so exciting! This is going to be the pinnacle of my year until the DVD release!

You're liuving in the past with 3D. The REALD process uses clear, sunglasses style glasses. The only effect is the image appearing slightly darker, instead of changing the colors completely.

Anyway, nice to know that Pixar hasn't slipped up. I definitely enjoyed the Incredibles, and Wall-E, to a lesser extent. But it is nice to know that they are no longer bent on making their movies serious to get an oscar.

Well, if a movie's going to be all 3D, you can't really consider it tinted, as that's really minor to me. I just saw MvA a couple weeks ago, and it didn't hurt my experience that much.

Coraline, I really liked, even though I saw it in 2D. The video game is a mere idcentical to the film.

I also saw Coraline in RealD 3D and it was SPECTACULAR! I absolutely enjoyed the vibrant colors and the animation. I am extremely excited for Up and it's 3D release, although this movie seems comedic it does have it's serious tone to it and deffinately Oscar worthy but Up has it's competition: 9, The Princess and the Frog, and Monsters vs. Aliens (although it has no chance of beating Up).

Once again, the media blows up something that shouldn't even affect the ticket sales.

We'll see how well the movie does. I can understand why kids wouldn't want to see a G rated film...it's kind of ashame too. When we were growing up in the 80's/90's I felt a lot of that innocence is gone from children now...but that's just my personal opinion.

I agree with you about the Toy Sales perhaps with the old man.

Anyway, Mr. Fredricksen is the main reason why I am watching this movie. An old gramps being the main character of the movie just calls for fun. (It's even better that he's voiced by Freakazoid's Cosgrove!) Up is basically...the Senior Citizen Action Adventure film. Hell, if they advertised that quote in the trailer, I'd fall for it.

People really should stop caring what other people think about them with what they do. A rating is just there to protect the kids from being traumatized. But whatever, high school kids are idiotic these days. (Yet I was one just last year.)

I'm for it because 1)it's Pixar, and 2)it looks like it's much more fun than the previous three films. Pixar in the old days was all about fun films.

Transformers 2, Terminator 4, Star Trek, Avatar (that one's in the fall, but it's going to be big ) Plenty of big pictures around, although last year was a pretty big one.

I thought Avatar was, like, next year. As for T4, I still have to watch 1, 2, and 3. Transformers and Star Trek.

Nope, Avatar is to be released worldwide on December 18, and I'm glad it is. Waiting for a new James Cameron has been long enough, even though there is still very little known about it.
