Going to Disney World :D

Post by drfsupercenter »

Well, in a few months.

I'm in the school marching band, and the director just announced that our spring trip will be to Orlando. So not only will I get to go to Disney World, but I'll be in a Magic Kingdom parade!

I haven't been to Magic Kingdom since I was like 7... I just went to Hollywood Studios in February but that's it for the Disney parks. I'm definitely looking forward to it! (Though it probably won't be as fun as our trip to London :( )

Yeah, I'm looking forward to it.

Do they ever air those parades on local TV in Orlando? I'd love to get a video of one... or talk one of the chaperones into filming it for me... when I was in London I got an awesome video from a local TV station here:

I doubt the Magic Kingdom parade will be as exciting as the London New Year's Day Parade was, but the trip should be equally as fun :D

No.

Still, have fun, play safe, and sing along with all the songs!

LOL, I wouldn't be caught singing in front of all my friends

Not to mention that when I was at Hollywood Studios, all they played were the stupid kiddie songs, nothing I actually liked. (I mean Hannah Montana stuff, the remake of Life Is a Highway from Cars that quite frankly ruined the song...)

I guess I'll have to ask one of the chaperones to record it for me... I kinda want a memory of the trip, other than just the photos.

I hope you have a wonderful time! Back in 2003, I went to Disney World with my high school's marching band and choir, but it was for day trips. I was a bit disappointed I didn't get to sing or play in the Magic Kingdom, but we still got to perform at the Orange Bowl in downtown Orlando which really fun as well. :)

I hope you'll have a great time there! WDW is one of my favorite places to go and visit about twice a year, but with the more ticket prices increases, I think that my frequent visits might be happening less and less. :p

That's the beauty of theme parks: you don't get caught, and if you do, you shrug it off! :P

Invest in an annual pass, Howard!

Disney World Trip!

Post by drfsupercenter »

So for those of you who haven't heard, I'm gonna be going to Disney World with our school's marching band.

We leave in exactly a week!

But I need some input. We looked at the schedule today, and here's basically what we're doing... aside from the parades we have:
Approximately 3 and a half hours to do whatever at Hollywood Studios
Approximately 3 hours at EPCOT
And then about 3-4 hours where we can pick which park we want to go to. I believe we have a short amount of time in Magic Kingdom, but not a big time slot.

So I'm curious. First and foremost, what do you all suggest I do during that choice of parks? I'm leaning towards Magic Kingdom right now... but is there a lot of neat stuff at Animal Kingdom? I don't think I've ever been to that one. (We ARE going to Animal Kingdom for an "awards ceremony" but will have no free time - we just go there, watch the thing, and leave.)

Then secondly... 3-4 hours a park is not too much time. It's good, but I haven't been to Disney World in years and therefore really don't know what all to go on. So secondly, I'm looking for advice as to what rides to ride, and what attractions to see, etc. so that when I go, I won't spend my time deciding what to do.

Any other comments about Disney World as well? :)
