they give ultimatums in a lot of movies. It's almost even a cliche that at the end they'll pick both paths. The movie could end up in three ways we'll just wait and see. If I was in control, I'd have Miley pick Hannah, I'm tired of TV shows and movies that have lead characters with secrets as a main plot their whole run.

I agree that Miley will still decide to live both lives, despite the hyping of the storyline that implies she is forced to choose just one. If you notice during a recent episode of the show, Lilly says to Miley, "You're Hannah-stinking-Montana! You just starred in a movie and you can't afford one?!" That implies to me she decided to still be Hannah at the end of the movie.
Well, I think it's freakin' obvious it'll end the show. The ads say she'll have to choose just one. I don't think Disney's really trying to make it obscure that she'll choose to be just Miley. At least not to the crowd older than 10-12.
Don't believe the hype. Many shows and movies for kids hype big events that are later forgotten.

"Hey Arnold: The movie" hyped the fact that Helga was going to confess her love to Arnold. But in the end, Arnold says that she didn't mean it, and she agrees, and the secret is reborn.

Hannah will not be different. The drama is hyped because they need something that makes the movie worth watching. Miley deciding between she and Hannah does that.

I'm just saying, Disney tends to make things much less surprising than they should. They did it with one of the KP tv movies.

Anyway, I just saw a web ad for casting on the show. I don't believe that.

I am a big fan of the Hannah Montana show (looking for season two on DVD) because it's simplistic, corny & entertaining. For a show aimed at the younger generation, Disney should be commended for providing clean wholesome entertainment compared to what's available elsewhere. I am looking forward to joining my neice to see this latest movie at the theatre & I'm sure we both will enjoy it.

I honestly can't wait for this release, gon'na see the movie out of curiousty and plus I'm a medium size fan of the show. I also agree bout Disney makin the "big" reveal alil over the top yet who knows...I actualy would perfer to see a show like Wizards Of Waverly Place (W.O.W.P) up on the big screen yet Hannah's fine with me.

My theather didn't carry any metion of the HM movie, like a poster or somethin I can understand if they're waitin till it's actauly closer to the release date.

Hasn't the film already made a premiere? On april 2 according to wiki.

Theres also an article going around saying that HM:TM wasn't intended to end the HM franchise, and it's up to disney to pursue a 4th season or not. With zack and cody starting a new series (which could go on for it's own 3 years?) I think it's quite clear that disney would want to keep raking in the dollar signs. This doesn't mess up the ultimatum either, miley's "secret" was only a gimmick, and after 3 years, I think they've exhausted the double-life plots enough. If they decide to continue the series, they can definitely go places plot wise (though they probably won't).

It's just as well for Miley, her career will probably be in limbo once HM finishes.

The movie was never intended to end the series. It was actually made before the third season even began filing. Miley Cyrus has said in press statements that if Disney wants to continue the show, she would be more than happy to do it.

All films are premiered before actual release. Since the movie opens tomorrow, they likely premiered the film one-three weeks ago.

From this review that I read they said that, "The movie certainly serves as a vehicle for Miley Cyrus to begin moving forward from the "Hannah Montana" role, but it by no means is an end to the character."

That is good news because I love the show, but didn't want the movie to end the show. I really just the movie will be like an extended episode with so many new songs! I can't wait! :)

Funny, because around fall 2008 w=evrybody was talking about how she didn't want to play thet character anymore, she must have changed her mind after she got her huge paycheck, plus if it did end, she would be a hypocrite because on amazon tunes she said that tere will be hannah montana if fans keep asking for it.

I am sure Miley Cyrus realized she has such a wide fan base and decided to make this movie. It is also nice how she can combine her acting career with her music career. Not many entertainers are able to do that, so for her she gets the 'best of both worlds'...no pun intended.

I saw the movie this afternoon, and it was incredible. As I wrote in the "What Movie Did You Just Watch" thread, I cried more than I laughed (but I still laughed!)...it felt very real, and I really felt for the characters. It isn't just a straight-up laughfest like some would expect from the TV show. I loved it, and I can't wait to get it on DVD and watch it again!

I was able to see it today.....though my dad said he would not being seeing it.....so in order to get him to take me I had to buy him a ticket for a differ movie at around the same time....so I picked for him Observe and Report.....though on the ride home I did ask dad if you were forced to see the following two movies which would you choose: Hannah Montana Or Coraline....I Believe that is the first time my dad has given praise on he would rather watch Hannah Montana TV Show and Movies....I find it a funny show and the movie was quite good....It's a lot better that I thought it would be....of course my dad just thinks its stupid that a 22 year old guy likes the show that is targeted at girls.... Which I see nothing embarassing about me liking it....maybe a little bit.....Like i have said I am a fan of the show and now the Movie.....that does not mean however I go out and Purchase Hannah Wigs which for some odd reason they make and is made by disney.....

I enjoyed it (not enough to buy the dvd). I was simply going because I had a free pass and needed stubs for my DMR account but I have to admit it was an enjoyable movie.
