The trailer is pretty awesome, I much admit.Since I have Pinocchio on Dvd I have this trailer. Even though I have the Snow White trailer I will still say I think it would be awesome if you posted the Snow White trailer on here

Hi BC! No, actually what I got was a bootleg of the Platinum Edition. I don't know if you were in the thread where everyone helped me authenticate that I had bought a very sophisticated bootleg. Here is the thread:blackcauldron85 wrote: Pluto Region1!!! You’re back!!! Hooray!
I didn’t know that there was a non-Platinum Edition SW bootleg…what bonus features are on it? I’m not planning on seeking it out, but I’m curious!Pluto Region1 wrote: I own the bootleg DVD version

It was such a great quality bootleg, that I have held onto it. It was very hard to authenticate - the case, etc, but there was some wording they messed up on the back, from what I recall. The seller was an Amazon market seller and I got my money back but never gave back the bootleg (since I was thinking of giving it to Disney, and then decided to just hold onto it as a conversation piece.
Ok, as for the SW on DVD that is unsealed, I checked my box and I made a mistake - I have a used opened one. That was not one of the sealed Videos I got from my mom. Cinderella was sealed. She gave me several that were sealed but I've subsequently opened a few of them to watch (rather than break the plastic on the DVD versions I have). Anyway, the SW video I have says "Masterpiece collection" on it and I don't see any date on it. Not sure it there was any bonus material as I have not watched it. Ironically I watched the bootleg which has the 2nd disk and all the bonus material on it.

Still no Amazon or Disney.com Pre-Order for Snow White!!
Strangelly , nay bizarrely , there is still no pre-order on www.Amazon.com for Snow White , even though the release date of October 6th 2009 is officially recognised , and on www.disney.com , if you type in Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs , it says : sorry this title is not available , please sign up to be advised of availability!
I'm still wondering just when Disney will do a Press Release to announce the Extras/Features on the Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs Blu Ray , I really would have expected the Press Release for this most important title to have appeared by now!!!

I worry that so many Blu-ray editions of classic Disney films are coming out so quickly. Blu-ray is still in its infancy, and like DVD, is not in all homes for some of these title releases. For example, when Snow White first came out on DVD (in 1999?) DVD was relatively new. It went out of print and became one of the more sought-after titles for the next decade. Even though they have all been packaged with a DVD, I worry that the same thing will happen here: the Blu-ray will go OOP, it'll catch on and take over DVD and nobody will be able to purchase it.

Blu Ray will not be allowed to go down the pan , the Studios/manufacturers have invested far too much money in the format to allow it to go bust!
However hopefully the Credit Crunch will bring disc/Blu Ray player prices lower in order to sell more units - in fact this is actually already happening : I'm in England , in the UK, and I bought , firstly a Sony 350 player for £160.00 from Richer Sounds , and the other day four Blu Rays from www.hmv.com Harry Potter/Nightmare Before Christmas and Enchanted and Casino for £41.00 post free!!

I compare it to the regular CD.
Many things with superior quality have been on the market (super audio cd, etc), and some of them had big promotional campaigns.
It takes A LOT for something to become the mainstream format.
But, the main reason the regular cd is still the main stream format, is that more and more things will become digital. With the computers, downloads, Itunes, mp3's, a whole new digital era is coming.
So I think in time you can buy some sort of sticks with digital data and the Disney Classics on them.
And some sort of players will be available that play regular dvd's, but also have a port to put such a stick in.
Blu-ray is just an extra little "in between step".
The players will always play dvd's, and this next digital step won't be far from now. So, for the Blu-fanboys it's nice that some players also play those, but I predict it will follow the same path as the audio business.
So regular dvd's will always be there.
They won't be replaced by a new format, the will be replaced in time by the "digitalization".

Thanks for sharing jrboy! I think I like the DVD cover art better than the Blu-Ray's. Its less cluttered and I like the apple better than the mirror. My only complaint is that the Queen should be on it somewhere.
I think the gray boarder on the Blu-Ray looks better than blue and will probably be silver on the slipcover, but I still think the cover looks to CG and I'm not sure I feel about the witch being on there. This obviously isn't the final cover art because nowhere on the package does it say "Platinum Edition" for either release... unless the Platinum line is done...

Small detail: both are "This title will be released on October 6, 2009" Weird, no?
And look at the Blu cover, it has the Disney DVD logo on the spine! I really DOUBT this is final 'cause Disney would never do something like that. Oh, and NEITHER are being advertised as PLATINUM on the covers...
I smell lots of changes on both arts...

I found another listing on amazon the might explain the blu-ray cover I posted "Snow White & Seven Dwarfs (3pc) (Wbr) (1937)". It seems that the cover is for the dvd combo, 2-disc dvd and 1-disc blu-ray
