I like Fantasia and Fantasia 2000. My love for instrumentals may have something to do with liking them. I don't have the movies in my DVD collection and plan on getting the DVDs coming out next year.

Actually, they do.

Or do you mean the smoking scenes themselves are not on the Dutch version? Because I've seen the film on Dutch DVD, and the smoking scenes are on it.
The smoking scenes are there, obviously. I thought the explanation was there when you started the film, but it's after the previews before you go to the menu. I skipped the trailers, so I didn't see it and simply thought they didn't add the explanation on the dutch blu-ray. My bad.

I thought they did.

Still, I can't help but think that other iterations of them have lighter skin tones. Maybe I saw it in the Princess ads, or the KH games. IDK.

Is that how it is on the R1 DVD, too; the explanation plays after the trailers? I skipped the trailers, so that's probably why I missed the smoking warning.

It plays before the trailers. Like, before the Blu-ray one.

Was there a way to skip it? I went to the main menu the earliest I could, before the trailers. I mean, I saw the Disney DVD trailer that's on all the DVDs now, and the FBI warning and all that, but then I went to the menu. I feel like I'm going crazy! I either blinked and missed it or there's a way to go to the main menu before that warning comes on. I want to watch it, though! I'm intrigued.

It should be skippable, but I doesn't seem accessible from the Peeks menu. You just have to skip the Disney ad when that loads. Plus, isn't the disc Fast-play? I think you went to the menu from the Fastplay screen.

It depends on what sequences you're looking at. Sometimes they seem a bit darker, often a bit lighter. I do stand by my assertion that they are designed like American teenagers. Heck, Aladdin was even modelled after Tom Cruise!

I'm very excited about this release. I still have yet to watch "Fantasia" in its entirety, but I love "Fantasia 2000." These will look and sound great on Blu.
