Well, it was a long time coming. The show ran it's course long ago.

Was the show cancelled because they run out of stock footage from the Japanese counterpart super sentai series or because of poor ratings?

I find either of those reasons doubtful. The Japanese version is waaay ahead of the North American from what I know, at least 4? Seasons ahead. Even then from what I gather ratings must be high enough to warrant a 17th season otherewise it would have ended due to low ratings a while ago. Also, there's a HUGE fanbase for Power Rangers, not just in younger generations but people in their teens and adults in their 20's etc. as well.

Personally I feel as though the Disney seasons weren't nearly as good as the first few seasons (Mighty Morphin - Space)

Also, I'd like to point out that things could change. Every year when a new season goes to start a lot of people start saying "Oh there aren't going to be anymore seasons, this is the last season" etc. and yet every year there's another season. I'm going to wait and see and what happens especially since I've heard the 18th season has had some things in the works already.

I am really going to miss this show. I grew up with it up until Space ended. Pretending to be a Power Ranger was the best of times.
Whose Line, Boy Meets World, Adventures In Wonderland, Growing Pains, Walker Texas Ranger, 7th Heaven, Brotherly Love, Saved By The Bell, Full House, Muppets Tonight, The Nanny, Home Improvement, Silver Spoons, Family Matters, Reba, The Drew Carey Show,

Power Rangers is over now? I thought that show ended years ago.

I will admit that I did watch Power Rangers (the original) when I was a kid. I even had one of the video tapes that I got rid of a long time ago (It had the green ranger on it). I was not really a huge fan of the show.

PixarFan, have you ever heard of S.P.D., Dino-power, or any of those since 2005?
