What would you do with $25,000?

Post by katemonster »

I've been listening to the View reading off the names of the winners of the Room a Day contest, and it got me thinking... if you won $25,000 from the contest, what would you do with it? There's still a couple of weeks to keep entering at the web site (http://www.roomadaygiveaway.com/)

I think I would use part of it like they suggest, to redo some of the rooms in my home, and then... I don't know! Travel maybe. Maybe I'd go see a taping of the View. :)

I would use most of it to pay my student loans, but would set some aside to move to New York.

Right now I'd probably buy a new TV, and save everything else.

Put it toward buying a house. Probably.

Boring answer.

I'd pay a hitman to break into the Disney Vault for me so we could have some actually good home video releases.

Oops, did I let my master plan slip?

I would spend four weeks in Walt Disney World in Florida, and save the rest for everything else.

Anyone who entered, they're announcing the winner soon... around the 13th, is what I read. So be sure to go back and be checking the site, just in case!!

I'd use some of the money to buy DVDs and toys and the other half of the money to put aside for something else.

Pay off student loans, pay rent on this place for the next two or three years, buy a bunch of CDs and DVDs, maybe even buy my own turntable and tape deck and a line-in cable, then buy a bunch of vinyls, cassettes, and blank CDs so I could transfer some rare stuff to CD and share them. :D

I wouldn't have to use it for college (Since my mom works at a college I can get into any college for free for four years :D ), I would give half of it to my parents and family. The other half would be used to buy a car, buy some CDs/DVDs/Books, and the rest would go into the bank. Good question!

I'd put some into my savings account, use some to finance my next vacation, and use the rest to give our basement HT a serious upgrade!

I'd pay off my student loan, or nearly. Not sure how much it is right now. That might be just enough. Too bad an art degree is so worthless.

If I had no bills on my mind, I'd relocate with it probably.

If I had already relocated somewhere I really liked, had a car, didn't have anything major to concern myself with, maybe I'd go to Disney World or something. But, yeah, I'd definitely hit Best Buy and the Wal-Mart DVD and Toy sections, and probably check out other local places to buy collectibles and DVDs. I'd try to get some long put off, too expensive for me DVD sets and stuff, and would get some off Ebay too. Finish my Sailor Moon DVD collection if I could.

My first response: Would I have to do anything in particular with $25000? 8)

But then: Are you saying you can get a house/apartment for that kind of money?

Pay my first year's tuition without having to take out any student loans.

*sigh*
Oh, what a perfect world that would be...
