If You Had Your Own TV Channel

(I decided to post this here instead of in Movies/Music/TV, since it doesn't really require any discussion and it's just for fun)

Assuming:
A) You are never required to show commercials if you decide you don't want to,
B) You are never forced to edit the programs you choose, for language or content,
C) You are allowed full-access to all TV programs and movies with no restrictions, or obligations to any studios or companies,

1. What would you choose for your channel to run?
2. Where would you put the shows / movies on the schedule?
3. What do you think you would want your TV channel to be named?

Me personally, I'm going to hold off coming up with a name until I really think about it. But, I think I would want a channel that's mostly like TV-Land, except for certain holidays, I would run Movie-Marathons instead. You know. And for commercial spots (during only the TV shows!), I would run nostalgic, Retro Junk-type stuff / commercials that ran in the 70's and 80's, hell even the 50's and 60's if there are enough clips available. To fill the space between movies, I would show Movie-Trailers. And if there is any time left over, I'll just show a 5, 10, 15, or 20 second screen of just the logo from my channel.

This schedule is a temp. I might decide I want to change it later:

Monday - Friday
3:00 A.M. - Music Videos
4:00 A.M. - Punky Brewster
5:00 A.M. - Clarissa Explains it All
6:00 A.M. - Saved by the Bell
7:00 A.M. - Garfield & Friends
8:00 A.M. - Inspector Gadget
9:00 A.M. - Care Bears
10:00 A.M. - The Muppet Show
11:00 A.M. - The Nanny
12:00 P.M. - Designing Women
1:00 P.M. - Will & Grace
2:00 P.M. - Caroline in the City
3:00 P.M. - Seinfeld
4:00 P.M. - A Different World
5:00 P.M. - Daria
6:00 P.M. - Scrubs
7:00 P.M. - Roseanne
8:00 P.M. - That 70's Show
9:00 P.M. - Movies (6 hours of, from 9:00 P.M. to 3:00 A.M.)

I just wanted to say that this is a neat idea. I don't have the time right now to create my channel or anything, but hopefully at some point I will! I just didn't want you getting discouraged thinking that people didn't like this thread, because I do! It just will take a lot of work!

I agree, really awesome idea. I have some thoughts floating around in the noggin...once I have a good chunk of time to type out and think up a schedule and an awesome name, then I'll post. It'll take me a while since I enjoy way too many tv shows.

How the HELL did I miss that?? I swear to God I searched (for Television and...Station, I should have searched for "Channel"). Clearly, that's because I remember there being another topic like this, I've just been on so many message boards that I don't remember which one it was on.

Can somebody please fuse these 2 together??
