Here's most of my DVD collection. The shelves fit on either side of a window but I couldn't fit them both into the same photo . . .

Image Image
Whee, clickable!!! You can zoom in on my dA pages. ;)

The photo on the left includes most of my Disney DVD's; about two thirds of the bottom shelf are non-Disney.

The photo on the right includes most of the rest. I threw it in here as well cuz you can barely see just the edges of my Disney Legacy DVD's on top of the DVD player.

I didn't take a picture of my Disney Treasures sets since they're boxed up under the coffee table at the moment . . .

I need more shelves! :p

I currently have Sleeping Beauty and Lady and the Tramp on Order and im getting The Fantasia Anthology for Christmas.

Im thinking of importing some of the Walt Disney treasures sets as they look so good get only four were ever released in the uk :(

I really want the Black and White Mickey Cartoons to go alongside the colour sets i have as well as the ones about Disneyland, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and the second Silly Symphonies set. Alright i want a lot more than i will ever be able to afford but i can dream, can't i?

enigmawing, how's the quality on those "Daria" bootlegs? Is it TV-quality or are they compressed episodes on a home DVD-R that looked pixelated? Do they have the original music or are they the generic music that was heard on the reruns on The N? Think you could burn an extra copy and send them to NJ for a fair price? ;)

And I love the Thumper and Elliot stuffed animals on top of your shelf! It looks like Elliot's trying to hug Thumper!

mrfivefingers if you're gonna import Treasures, make sure you get the "Tomorrowland" and "On the Front Lines" sets if they're still available. Two of the best Treasures in the series, IMO.

Every time I see that 2-Disc Lilo & Stitch my heart sinks a little. If I could find a multi-region DVD player I'd import it in a heartbeat.

Or, you know, Disney could finally make good on its promise to release it in Region One... It would be a great release to promote Blu-Ray. I'm just saying... 8)

Wow, it's been a while since I've cracked those open. If I remember right, they're pixelated a bit but came off MTV and have the original music. Give me some time to look them over again and I'll get back to you. ;)

And thanks, I have a special affection for those little guys. :D

Please note the records below the DVDs are not mine. I also did not include the bonus discs to Pirates of the Caribbean and Cars.

Wow, you all have great DVD collections! :o

Here's a portion of my family's Disney DVD collection:

Image

It's hard to see the titles of some of the movies at the bottom, but from Lilo & Stitch is a Walt Disney vacation planning DVD, Toy Story, Toy Story 2, Recess: School's Out and Pirates of The Caribbean 2.

And just because, our VHS collection:

What you can see in the photos are The Lion King 2, The Aristocats (without a case) and an old VHS tape of The Wind In The Willows from 1982.

It's happened, it's finally happened.

I've died and gone to hell.

:P

I do like your vase collection, however. So you're redeemed. But no DVDs for The Happiest Millionaire, The One and Only, Genuine, Original Family Band, Pete's Dragon, The Black Hole, The Watcher in the Woods, Something Wicked This Way Comes, or the all-important The Rocketeer?

Thank you, they aren't hard to make just time consuming. As far as the slip covers go, i don't like them on my DVD's bc they get scrapped up and damaged and are annoying overall, but i'd rather not throw them away because i do think they look nice. Would you rather me throw them away? At one point I had them going around the top of my room like a border of some kind and that looked kinda cool, but then i realized i wasn't going to have enough by the time i made the switch to blu-ray to go around the entire room, so i resorted to that one corner.

I've stayed away from buying live-action films to save money to complete my animated classic collection. Now that i'm done however i'm begining to look at the live-action films i've been missing out on. I'm planning on getting Pete's Dragon soon though. I havn't seen The Rocketeer since i was very young and can't really remember it all that well, sorry, and I havn't seen any of the other you mentioned (I know escapay is probably going to gasp at that last statement and tell me to go watch them all).

My first thought on seeing the slipcovers was "Scaps is going to have so much fun watching that go up in flames"

But it actually does look kind of neat Singerguy :) (Even if it is Slipcovers :P)

Enigma: I'm so very envious of allllll those Sailor Moon dvds, they were the first thing I noticed in the picture.

Very nice collections everyone :)

Nice collection! I will work on my updating my Disney collection soon along with Disney vinyl, cassettes and CD's that I have so far and my newest stuff in my collection is my GE Wildcat portable stereo record player from the 1970's.

Many of these people who weren't around would love record players, it has a changer as well as the 45 stack adapter and the control switch where you can turn on and reject if the record drops, it plays.

Disney fans would love to have my GE Wildcat record player, but the name has nothing to do with the "High School Musical" films. It was from General Electric. I've seen clips from the "Fred Waring Show" back in the early 50's as seen on the "Alice in Wonderland" DVD that has the GE sponsor tag, because GE was the sponsor for that show and my Wildcat record player.

I will post it soon.

I haven't gone through all of the pages but I haven't noticed anyone putting pictures of their Disney laserdiscs. I know some of you have some laserdiscs.

Bought a digital camera today! So finally I can show an image of my Disney collection, though it isn't so impressive.

Anyway, here it is:

Here is some more updates since I've never post any Disney music collection in a long time including the grand champion of them all, my General Electric Wildcat portable stereo record player which I got at Goodwill last year for $50 and it's in excellent condition. This GE Wildcat record player was made in 1975 (previous versions of the GE Wildcat are made back in the late 60's and early 70's) and it was one of the last record players that GE ever made. They stopped making them until Emerson made an updated version of the Wildcat with the same GE-style cabinet and the BSR record changer. The redesigned GE Wildcat was first made in 1972 with a similar design as it was before, but it does have a pitch fork overarm on there before the rectangular one was later used from about 1974 and 1975. It has all the original components and everything works. Including the 3-speed operation where you can play 33, 45 and 78's, and also included a 45 adapter where you can play 45's, it also came with a tonearm and a diamond stylus to play only standard type of records except 78 RPM records where it doesn't have a flip-over stylus to play 78's, most of it are okay, so take for example a Disney soundtrack album "The Three Caballeros" on the Decca label released on a 78 with three records and it plays fine on my GE Wildcat from the 1970's.

I forgot to mention, the name "Wildcat" has nothing to do with the "High School Musical" films, because of the name of the basketball team, the "East High School Wildcats".

Imagine going back to your childhood in the 1970's when you've got your first GE Wildcat record player from a department store, you can play your favorite Disney albums and stories like "Cinderella", "Snow White", "Pinocchio", "Peter Pan", "Bambi" and others along with the classics like "It's a Small World", "Mickey Mouse Disco" and so much more. Just like bringing back the good times of Disney fun.

The pictures of my GE Wildcat as shown here including a Disneyland record playing the "Sleeping Beauty" soundtrack.
