Wonder why Bolt isn't getting a 3D release on the 2D release?

Perhaps, just perhaps a special 3D Blu-ray will be released later in 2009?

Bolt is a good movie it was very funny, I would highly recomended it.

For anyone excited about that two-disc edition of Bolt...don't get too excited...all you get is 24 minutes (not including "Super Rhino" or deleted scenes, which aren't passed yet) and a gorram digital copy...

Can they really consider that "In Session" to be a featurette? Its length makes it seem more like a frickin' easter egg.

I doubt the deleted scenes will add more to the runtime (unless it's like, 90 minutes of stuff from Chris Sanders' American Dog).

That would be AMAZING!!!! I kind of doubt that American Dog will be mentioned...I mean, Kingdom Of the Sun/Kingdom In the Sun was barely mentioned on the TENG Collector's Edition. But that would still be amazing.

They said deleted scenes. If they are the infamous ones or not is yet to be known. I'm sure Lasseter wants all this Sanders controversy swept under the carpet forevermore, not to blemish his biography of his time at Disney.

I meant "infamous" in the fact that deleted scenes are being included at all. Probably the wrong word to use, though. Still, just the fact that The Black Cauldron is being revisited (what with Disney no longer having any DTVs to release) is surprising.

Plus, it wouldn't be the first time material from the early versions of a film was on the DVD. The Emperor's New Groove had a few pieces of concept art from Kingdom of the Sun and Aladdin included a couple short featurettes about the pre-Black Friday version of the film, as well as a couple songs and scenes from the Ashman/Menken treatment (notably "Proud of Your Boy", though that pretty much was expected). Heck, even Chicken Little featured the original opening with Holly Hunter as the voice of Chicken Little. Surely it wouldn't be too out of place for the Bolt DVD to include a couple deleted pieces with the radioactive bunny.

Well, I can say nothing would make me happier than to see American Dog on the DVD - only - it seems like the Sanders controversy drew the most flak of all the big director shifts at Disney, and as John is a fledgling as WDAS prez, he needs to make sure that nothing that could hurt him is hanging around.

Does that site really have the entire film up!? I only watched till the opening shot of a man flipping the shop sign since I haven't yet seen the movie (as it's not yet been released locally) and don't want to spoil it.

I watched the first 20 minutes and it was the theatrical cut of the film untouched.

So I'm willing to bet yes, that is the whole film.

Um, you guys do realize that the movie cuts off after a certain point, prompting you to buy a "premium account" for megavideo in order to see the rest, right?

They'll also give you the option to wait for a certain amount of time before you can continue with the movie but doing so will only take you back to what you've already seen.

I wonder how many people they've scammed memberships out of just so they could finish what they started.

Anyway, I'll stick with the official DVD release once it's out.

I have slightly less negative views towards what you consider pirating.

A) I'm only watching it online, I didn't pay someone for a DVD copy.
B) I paid to see it in theaters.
C) I'm going to be buying the Blu-ray in two months.
D) I own a DVD of every DAC and their derivatives.

Disney will make money from me on this particular film twice, as well as the fact they've made several hundreds off me building up my DVD collection.

Watching one of their films online isn't going to hurt them, and for me, I don't consider it pirating.

Even so, you're only considering yourself in the scheme of things. The ramifications of, say, 1000 people watching it online illegally is worse. For example, if one in every 1000 people have already seen the movie in theatres and still plan on buying the DVD, that's still 999 people who didn't pay to see it in theatres, and perhaps don't plan to buy the DVD. So it's costing Disney money. Less money means less profit which means less certainty that films in the pipeline are worth the investment.

I'm interested in finding out how they got a copy of the film in such decent quality. From what I saw, it looked like a DVD rip. I might be wrong though.

anyhow, how much revenue from the UK can we expect for this film? The film has only grossed 80 million overseas so far which is horrible...

Not a lot I would imagine. By the time its out over here, you may as well wait and import the US disc. Well done Disney, announcing the US DVD at the same time..

According to Box Office Mojo, its almost at $90 million overseas. It hasn't been released everywhere yet and its already doing better than Meet The Robinsons, which earned $71 million foreign.

My point was I believe it's pirating if you don't already own the film and don't intend to. But if you do own the film or did see it in theater, then you've put in your money to see it online, as well.
