The Secret Life of the American Teenager
Anyone heard of this? i saw a commercial during Greek.. Looks really good, the main girl is a pregnant teen, it seems to me a little like 7th heaven but a little edgier and more relevant...

I've watched it since the beginning and think it is a fairly decent show. Not nearly as good as some others, but good none-the-less. However it is quite forgetable.

I have to admit, at first, the dialogue wasn't really good. As the show continued, it got better. Same with the actors. As the show progressed, they got better (except for the guy who plays Ricky).
I'm excited to see what happens with Amy confronting Ricky. I'm also starting to like Adrienne. Yes, she's mean and sleeps around, but she's very smart. I use to like Grace since she and I had some of the same beliefs, but after Tuesday's episode, I'm beginning to dislike her. It was NOT her place to go to that clinic. Ben is also starting to get on my nerves, but he really cares about Amy so I can't really dislike him.
Oh, and can I say that their high school is full of fake people, especially her two "best" friends. Speaking of her friends, I like Lauren better. She's got a good head on her shoulders.

Maybe tsom's right and the show gets better, but I haven't watched anything beyond the first episode. It seemed like the only thing everyone talked about was sex--what it's like and who to get it from. And I thought, "If this is what everyone in my highschool was like, no wonder I had no close friends."

Listening to most often lately:
Taylor Swift ~ ~ "The Fate of Ophelia"
Taylor Swift ~ "Eldest Daughter"
Taylor Swift ~ "CANCELLED!"

I've been watching the reruns of this show, and I really, really like it. I also really like how the main girl's name is Amy...for obvious reasons!
They do talk about sex a lot, but that's totally relevant to high school. I really like the characters, and I'll be buying the Season One set when it comes out.

Hmm, we didn't talk about sex that much in high school. We talked about the opposite sex a lot, but not sex specifically.
Anyway, I saw like the first episode of this show. I was curious because I appreciated the lead actress when she was in the American Girl movie, Felicity. Funny, she had the same father in that film, John Schneider. In general though, I wasn't too interested in this show. Though, I didn't think it started off slow at all. I thought kicking the show off with the teen daughter finding out she was pregnant was a pretty swift start into the drama.

I know so was i! Check out this preview for monday's episode... I mean no way she actually has her baby this soon.. I'm thinking theres some drama where maybe they think the baby might be in trouble and then Amy realizes how much she wants it and that its ok if her mom doesn't help her 24/7...what do yall think?
