Twilight jumps on DVD March 21st!

Post by DisneyLuver »

I seriously can't wait for this to come out on DVD (though I know everyone hates this before even giving it a chance... just because it's sterotyped towards "teen girls"... well, I like it, and I'm a teen boy)
Anyway, here's some details.

Summit Entertainment has announced the DVD and Blu-ray release of Twilight for the 21st of March. A list of confirmed specs for the two-disc Special Edition can be found below.

Disc One

* Five Extended Scenes with Director Introductions
* Audio Commentary with Catherine Hardwicke, Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart
* Three Music Videos: Muse, Paramore, Linkin Park

Disc Two

* Five Deleted Scenes with Director Introductions
* Seven-Part Documentary: 'The Adventure Begins: The Journey from Page to Screen'
* Comic-Con Phenomenon Featurette
* And More!

Oooh, and you may pre-order it on DVD here.

Also, the 2-Disc Special Edition is going to be available everywhere, but the 1-Disc is exclusive to Walmart, and the BluRay is exclusive to Target and Best Buy and some places to rent on March 21, but will be released throughout May 5.

I'm excited for the 2-Disc Special Edition!! :D

IMO, one of the most over-hyped, over-rated, movies of all time. The acting was atrocious, the editing was even worse, and I can't even give the person who did the music a E for effort. I will avoid this like the audiences did the second week when word got out about how bad this movie really is.

If you are between 11 and 16, then this might interest you, but otherwise I have better things to waste my money on.

:D

There are actually so many more reasons why I hate it than just that. That's not even on my list of reasons as to why I hate it. Something can still be marketed towards teenage girls and still be, you know, good.

And I like how the blurb on the front cover isn't so much a positive review as a statement. There might as well have been a quote that says "This certainly is a movie".
"Ta ta ta taaaa! Look at me... I'm a snowman! I'm gonna go stand on someone's lawn if I don't get something to do around here pretty soon!"

Unfortunately, I think it will.
Though, again, the DVD is pretty much like, you like the movie, and you wanna get it. So who knows? But I'm sure the sales will be higher than Bolt.
Bolt was a great movie, and I will surely be picking it up along with Twilight.

There are a number of "teenage girl" geared movies that are actually good and don't spike hatred...for me, movies like Clueless, She's the Man, 10 Things I Hate About You, and others fit that category.

Twilight, is another story. I really really wanted to like this movie, but i didn't. maybe it's b/c i had high expectations for it. maybe it's b/c during the whole movie, i unintentionally kept comparing it to the book (i know that i shouldn't, but i can't help it)

imo, this movie's editing was too choppy and the camera angles and shots were really awkward with the many extreme closeups. and Pattinson's accent going back an forth kind of annoyed me in a pet peeve sort of way. Anyway, the only things I liked about the movie was the character of James/Cam Gigandet's acting, and the comedic relief that Bella's school friends provided.

I don't know if all that is enough to get me to pay twenty bucks to have it on DVD...maybe when it goes down to $13 or $10...or maybe Escapay will buy it and I won't have to worry about it.

I'm not your personal Blockbuster, Jane. Nice to know that's what you think of me! :P

I probably will blindbuy it, though. Just to add to my collection of bad-and-could-have-been-better movies, like Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, Just My Luck, Batman & Robin, X-Men 3, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Spider-Man 3 (though it makes a great musical comedy...), and Star Trek: Nemesis.

You're a Blockbuster and Kram is a Disney fact vending machine.

That's a lot of three-quels! I'll add Harry Potter 3 to that list.

Hopefully Eclipse won't join that list.

Hardy har har. If I'm Blockbuster and Kram's a vending machine, it must mean you're the person that constantly uses us. :P

I liked HP3. It was HP5 that could have been better.

Well, I am the older sister; I have a right to use, annoy, and boss around you guys. :P

And I like how this convo is continuing online despite the fact that we reside in the same house.

And so that the topic doesn't go totally off topic...I just read what some of the features the DVD will include. I'm curious to see what scenes they deleted. I wonder if they're pivotal scenes they for some reason couldn't keep. Also...I wonder what scenes they extended.
