My thoughts on the Meaning of Change

I was thinking...my mind is at work....I can't sleep even though I have wake up at 7 am to get ready for my Grandpa's Funeral.....tomorrow..


Anyway one thing I want to say....about Change...(which is partly stole from Remy the rat from Ratatouille (if anyone didn't know that I am shocked)

Everyone is always worried about Change...some want change to happen...some don't....some don't want change to happen in a certain way and some say change is coming....well that is a Lie! Change is here...it always has been things change every day...whether they effect us as individuals directly or indirectly....we may not know the change that has happened,,,,,because everything we do and you do might change someone's life and we may not even know the person or know that we effected them at all...Like a Rankin/Bass character said In Rudolph and Frosty's Christmas in July....nothing lasts forever......which is another way of saying change happens...because there is no such thing as forever....as to the way a lifestyle may be lead....or if companies decide to ban slipcovers (Escapay's dream) I mean...change is happening every day...some say its human nature that change....but also nature itself changes.....

I mean in the year 2000 month of september no one ever imagined or thought terrorists would fly and destroy the World Trade Centers a year later.....that for sure brought a lot of change...

Like when a close friend or a close family member passes away....Life goes on afterward for the rest of us on earth (regardless of religion) but things never are the same say after a Grandpa dies or your best friend from childhood gets in a wreck but luckily lived even though they cracked their head open and they will be okay and not suffer any amnesia.....

I mean....one thing that will never change is....Death.....we all will die....some of us might live until 91 and go peacefully and some might not.....some might not even see it coming.....


But anytime anything even as little as your gallon of milk that you just bought in the store and breaks in the store.....nothing will change to get that milk into that gallon jug....however precautions are taken to try to make sure it does not happen again and the store gives you another gallon of milk....unless your dropping milk halfhazardly all over the store then that's a differ kind of change...it's called don't pass go do not collect 200 gallons of milk....go to jail...


We all are granted one life to live.....some of you have changed things already in the world and may not even know it......nothing stays the same......and the phrase everything is about to change is not true...everything is changed and change is still happening even as you read this feelings I have on the word Change and the meaning of it.......every day people are changing.....some for the better some for the worse and some we know about some we don't and some we might not even know that we did that changed something...even right now....

Again keep my family and myself in your thoughts and prayers...because a lot of change is about to happen in my families life now that my Grandpa passed away....not just our lives......but the whole community.....some changes of this I might like and some not.....but at this point I will take one day at a time and take one change at a time....if at all possible.

Change can be scary since brings forth the unfamiliar, the unknown. It tends to take away our comfort zones but we learn to adapt as we find new ones. It's all part of being human.

I don't always know what to say, as much as I tend to ramble, but I felt for you when I read that your grandfather died. Maybe it will help to hear this, maybe it won't (especially since you already sound so aware) but yes, it's the kind of change that we all have to go through. I have a feeling you'll be fine since you have that awareness.

Just know that all pain fades in time, but happy memories linger despite any changes you may be going through right now.

And yes, one day at a time is about all you can do; it's all any of us can do, really. *hugs*
