Well, we are gonna be getting a 2-disc DVD release of Lilo & Stitch (FINALLY!) in late March this year. So that might mean something.

But we'll have to wait and see for sure.
We still don't know if disc 2 will just be digital copy disc...hopefully it'll be a bonus features-packed disc, but we still don't know yet (right?).

Here recently it's been saying on the cover art if there is a digital copy included. I would assume that the Lilo & Stitch special edition will not have a digital copy since it does not list it on the new cover art.
However, something tells me that The Black Cauldron will only be a one-discer.

I wish we could get a close-up shot of this ad.
From what I see of it, I hate that cover art. It's too red and blue. The Black Cauldron should have dark colors.

I know it's the same picture- I thought you were complaining that you wanted a close-up...I understand that I posted a small picture of it, but it's maybe a little easier to see everything on the picture I posted than in the picture from the magazine scan...

Oh, yes, thank you so much for the pic. I'm sorry I didn't quite understand what you were asking/posting. Actually I was hoping to see more of a close-up pic so I could read what was written beside the pic but the pic you gave me is helpful too!

Yeah, it'd be nice to see a close-up of the magazine text...I didn't realize you were referring to the whole magazine scan picture- when I read what you wrote, I was just thinking you wanted a clearer picture of the movie cover.

Yes, but do you know the difference between "Lilo & Stitch" and "The Black Cauldron"?
"Lilo & Stitch" made $$$$
"The Black Cauldron" made $
"Lilo and Stitch" is a profitable franchise.
"The Black Cauldron" is something really only we know and/or love
In conclusion, $$$$ =/= $.
"Ta ta ta taaaa! Look at me... I'm a snowman! I'm gonna go stand on someone's lawn if I don't get something to do around here pretty soon!"
According to the front page, this Special Edition will contain "deleted scenes". I'm shocked; we seem to be getting actual content for this release I hope they include everything that was cut out of the final film. Disney should really market this release, especially to the children. Although it's probably Disney's darkest Animated Classic, it's a great film and it has been neglected for too long.

I can't contain my excitement! I just hope it's true (unlike the Tarzan & TENG 2-discers that never were rereleases...). I'm so super EXCITED!!!
I'm buying The Secret of the Gourd when it comes out Jan. 27 so I can see the preview!!! Supposedly that's the DVD that has the new Black Cauldron preview trailer.

Thank you! I actually made it myself in photoshop. I use official clip art and Disney backgrounds, along with some of my own creations. (Shameless Plug - If you click on the link to my site you'll see more of my creations)
Count me in as another excited for the deleted scenes (AND DISNEY, THEY BETTER BE THE FULLY-ANIMATED STUFF, NOT SOME STORYBOARDS SET TO A RAW AUDIO TRACK!).
I also hope that the excellent still gallery (113 stills across 7 sections!) from the Gold Collection disc is carried over, along with the trailer (but who are we kidding?).
In addition, I'm not counting on any new interviews or vintage behind-the-scenes footage. Disney often likes to to pretend they don't have any of that stuff available, and they more than likely they won't go to any trouble to shoot any new interviews or anything unless it's for a Platinum.
If Disney knew what was good for them, at the very least they could include an excerpt from the 1981 "Illusion of Life" episode that had some behind-the-scenes discussion about The Black Cauldron. Alas, they didn't even bother including the "Illusion of Life" excerpts about The Fox and the Hound on the 25th Anniversary DVD.
