Good movies on Blu-Ray.

Post by PixarFan2006 »

I am thinking of buying some movies on Blu-Ray after Christmas and I want to know which ones you think I would like that I do not already own on DVD (I am asking for Close Encounters of the Third Kind on DVD for Christmas).

Well, I certainly don't know what you have on DVD, but I would have to say the best Blu-rays that I have are:

Sleeping Beauty
Wall-E
Hairspray
Pirates of the Caribbean I, II and III
Prince Caspian
Across the Universe
Mamma Mia!

I broke down and bought Ratatouille and Pirates Curse of the Black Pearl on Blu-Ray. I also plan on buying Cars on Blu-Ray shortly.

Batman Begins (Making it a TRIPLE dip)
Is the second one the HD-DVD?

I have an HD-DVD player myself, and I'm collecting all the movies I can get in that format since they're far cheaper than Blu-Ray.

And believe it or not, the HD-DVD has more features than both Blu-Ray sets. So you may like the color blue, but it'd be wasted money. Same goes for Transformers... I picked up a copy of Transformers on HD-DVD for about $10

Arabian Nights (Unedited)

If it ain't OTV, it ain't worth anything!

How The West Was Won, Band Of Brothers, The Godfather Trilogy and Planet Earth are pretty much must-buy's. HTWWW and Godfather are recently restored and look amazing.
