Jonas Brothers Get Warm Welcome in Nashville

Post by AwallaceUNC »

The Jonas Brothers were welcomed to Nashville, TN with a sold-out concert performance at the famous Ryman Auditorium and the accompaniment of some of music's biggest names: Amy Grant, Jordin Sparks, Martina McBride, Brad Paisley, Vince Gill, Phil Vassar, Michael W. Smith, Steven Curtis Chapman. The Brothers performed their biggest hits as well as hits of the other featured artists. Amy Grant and the Jonas Brothers sang "Baby Baby" together. :D All of the artists got together for "American Pie" at the end of it.

My first thought was, shouldn't this be in the Jonas Brothers Discussion Thread:
http://www.ultimatedisney.com/forum/vie ... 43&start=0

(And I know that there are other JB threads besides the one above, but that was just my thought...)

But, I think that that concert is interesting. Except for Jordin Sparks, I'm surprised at the line-up. Not disappointed, just surprised, since I don't necessarily see JB fans as being the target audience of those other artists (of course those other artists have young fans, too...).

USA Today also has an article about this concert:

Some footage has shown up on YouTube:
"Free Fallin'":

"Cinderella" with Stephen Curtis Chapman:

"When You Look Me In the Eyes" with Martina McBride:

"No Air" with Jordin Sparks

"Superstition" with Jordin Sparks:

"American Pie" with everyone:

Poor quality of JB & Brad Paisley (but Kevin sings a solo part <3):

(I didn't find any JB & Amy Grant videos, though.)

This YouTube user seems to have a lot of videos from the concert:

Cool links. Here's video of Amy and the Jonas Brothers performing "Baby Baby": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PapTACnoE80

I thought the event was unique/surprising enough to warrant its own thread for now; I'll move it into the Jonas Brothers thread a little later.

Who gets this kind of event? Jonas Brothers of all people? No offense to them, but music legends don't get these kind of receptions! It wasn't even televised!

Was this a highly talked about / publicized concert or something? Like, before the acts performed?
