Cool Convention!

I just went to a cool convention this weekend with several Disney related guests and thought that I would report in here with the details.

We started out early today and got to get into the convention early. We wandered around for a little while until we found the first guest....

Hayley Mills

She was a really cool lady! Hayley turned out to be exactly as I expected, for polite and friendly. We got an autographed photo and I got the Parent Trap and Pollyanna DVDs signed. I asked her about Walt Disney, I wanted to know if he was like the way we imagine him to be from what we saw of him on TV, etc. I was happy to hear that he was, she said that I would have been very happy to meet him, he was a kind and gentle person. She also said that he was shy, which sort of surprised me a bit. She mentioned that he personally took her and her family to Disneyland several times.

Adrienne Barbeau

Next I got Adrienne Barbeau, although not a Disney guest I mention this here for completeness. She too was very cool, we discussed some very non-Disney movies, heh heh, and I got my copies of Swamp Thing and Creepshow signed.

Cindy Morgan

Cindy Morgan appeared in Tron as Lora/Yori and was very approachable and friendly. She talked about how Disney gave her a free paid vacation to WDW to attend the opening of Mission: Space at Epcot. They gave her a lot of freebies too, I learned after commenting on her really cool Mickey tote bag. She mentioned something about talks about another Tron film possibly. Very cool!

Kim Richards

Finally I got to meet Kim Richards, star of the Witch Mountain movies. Of course I got both of them signed and chatted with her a little bit. She was extremely friendly!

So, it was a really good day! One of the best conventions that I have been to in quite a while, not only as far as guests go, but in general. It wasn't crowded at all, everryone was super friendly and it was just really cool. No disappointments today! Anyway, I hope you enjoyed my little report.

I wish I could have been there! It is so awesome that you met Kim Richards in person she was such a great actoress! I am alo glad you got to meet Hayley! Boy their is a great girl! I barely remember the other lady you met that played in TRON!

Thanks guys, it was fun. I really had a great time, best time that I had at a show like that in a long time! Meeting Hayley was amazing, I admit that I was a lil nervous for some reason, lol. That normally doesn't happen to me anymore when doing shows, I guess that it was just like meeting a Disney legend like that was just a lil overwhelming or something? It was all good tho and that's all that counts.
