Fox And The Hound had a sad ending and Pochontas's ending wasn't very happy but many good things happened to them unlike Quasimudo.
So you think people cheering for Quasimodo isn't a good thing to happen to him? He won the title of King of Fools, yes they were looking for the ugliest person in town BUT they also thought like everyone else he was just wearing a mask. Quasi also found a friend in Phoebus and Esmeralda also good things.

Sprince, I could name a few good things that happened to Quasimodo:

He befriended Phoebeus, and while he didn't win Esmerelda's romantic interest, they love each other and are great friends. Frollo also was killed, which would be enough to make anyone happy.

Unless you're Frollo.
Man has a dream
And that's the start
He follows his dream
With mind and heart
And when it becomes a reality
It's a dream come true
For you and me!

BelleGirl wrote:I hope Hunchback will come to Holland too. I've seen a nice amateur performance once in English; but of course when 'our' Joop van de Ende will put it in Dutch theatres it will be translated into Dutch - which I do not like so much- but the show sure will look spectacular.
Yeah, hope we'll get the Huncback too, But first Marry Poppins next season
I've seen the theatrical version of Tarzan and the story was changed and extended with regard to Disney's movie version. The character Tantor is missing (apparently to difficult to make an actor play for elephant  ) and Jane is not attacked by a horde of baboons but by a gigantic spider.
!
So, what did u think of Tarzan? It was my first musical experience. I was amazed at what they did, I personaly think that OUR version is BETTER then the show they had in America. Went last august.
I am going back thuesday dec 30, AND I am going to the last preformance on March 31.

I mean what were they thinking when they thought that they should make Tarzan a musical ahead of more Broadway-like shows such as The Little Mermaid, Mary Poppins, Aladdin, Pocahontas and The Hunchback of Notre Dame?
*Ahem*

Toonaspie,

I've seen the Tarzan musical and it actually was a great show! It may have flopped in the USA, but here in Holland it's a great succes.
Of course I'm all for musical versions of these other movies, but be honest: the same objections you have agains "Tarzan" as a musical (not Broadway-like) also apply to the "The Lion King" - which, apart form the African chorus, exists of several pop tunes.
Well, we know what happened to the stage show of "The Lion King", so is it really so illogical that they afterwards tried their hands on "Tarzan"?
Well, since our version is verry different then the original one, I can understand where Toonaspie is comming from. Our show is far more advanced and interactive. Whe became a part of the jungle, during the show. While broadway had to do without all the interactivity, and the audience there got the idea that they were'nt a part of the story. From what I have heard about that version, It was like watching some movie on a big screen. You see what's happening, but u can't seem to get emotionaly atatched tho the people on stage. and that's why the show did'nt go verry well with the american audience, am i right, Toonaspie?
