Well, it's so close now, so yeah . . . I hate to say it, but that's probably as final as it's gonna get.Vermin Friends wrote:It comes out in two weeks... is it safe to say that the cover art is final?
BLAH. The cover still fails, but I'm buying it anyway.

(Oh, on the movie's info page, they have a couple of new clips up . . . in case you haven't seen the movie yet. The linking sucks though, but they aren't too bad . . .)

UPDATE:
With less than a week remaining, I have learned something about the deleted song, thanks mostly to a reviewer on Amazon.com!
The deleted song, "Gonna Get My Wish," is actually a Morgana song! She apparently sings about being in her sister Ursula's shadow in sibling favoritism, but the reviewer says it wasn't too bad but cut for time purposes. (I betcha it's once she learns about Melody finding the locket . . . Place bets now, okay!)
Also, it seems that everything from the original release is on this one, including the "Merbabies" Silly Symphonies cartoon and the craptacular TLM2 trivia game. BLAH.
And the cover seems to be it. Double-BLAH.
However, there's supposedly a trailer for "Princess and the Frog" in the Sneak Peeks. At least there is a ray of hope for this release yet. XD

Whaa...? Didn't see that coming. Well, actually I did. I initially thought that the deleted song was for Morgana, but when the title was released, I thought it was for Melody, since it seems very vulnerable for a villain to wish... hmm.Juuchan17 wrote:The deleted song, "Gonna Get My Wish," is actually a Morgana song! Anyway, I came to share the covers of the trilogy set that I found. Until now, we've only seen the 3D cover, with the spine and the angle and whatnot:

But I just found the flat front and back covers! Admittedly, I'm a little disappointed with the back, but I think it might be a UK version, since I noticed there's a lot of those rating stickers on the front cover, and the cover for TLM2 isn't changed, even though the logo on the box is different.

Well, I'm pretty pissed that they haven't changed the cover for the (single) TLM2 SE yet. I'd at least like to see some deeper colors, maybe a touchup or two on Ariel and/or Melody... hmm. Ah well.
Anyone else getting the trilogy set?

My local Best Buy had accidently placed the Trilogy set for TLM and Peter Pan on shelf the other day while I was in the store. The U.S. box looks very similar to the UK box shown above. It looked very nice though and want it really bad lol. I was however a good Disney and Best Buy fan and informed a employee near me. They took it off the shelf, but i'll probably be back for it!
you should have bought one and then told them lolsingerguy04 wrote:My local Best Buy had accidently placed the Trilogy set for TLM and Peter Pan on shelf the other day while I was in the store. the trilogy set is now available in south east asia with the same beautiful box to hold them in. but i doubt itll be 4 discs as TLM never got a 2disc platinum dvd here. only a 2 pack with tlm2.
should i get it just for the pretty box and two lame sequels....had they include episodes of the tv series i would rush out but as for now ill wait till further price drops (or maybe i shouldn't?)

I just hope they make the box available to those of us who don't need to buy the trilogy. I already own 1 and 3, so there'd be no point in me buying it, but I'd LOVE to have that beautiful box.

It'll probably end up on YouTube within the week of its release.nachonaco wrote:I don't wanna double dip but want to hear the song XD
I seriously doubt it, and have never even heard of that being done before with box sets before. I think the best bet is to either sell them before the trilogy set comes out (so that the used DVD stores don't overstock on them, and they'll take it), or give it someone who likes TLM, but not enough to want to buy the trilogy set. I took the latter option, giving my TLM (PE) and TLM3 to my uncle who's been collecting the Platinums since Snow White.xxhplinkxx wrote:I just hope they make the box available to those of us who don't need to buy the trilogy. Chances are that if you kept your DVDs in perfect condition, they'll probably pay you less than half, so that they can make a profit off of it. That's what happened with my Charmed season boxes (which I was selling to get the "Complete Series" set) - they bought the one in PERFECT condition for about $5, and the others for about $10, the one in the worst condition was sold for the most, oddly enough ($14). It really depends on where you go, when, how, and who you go to. Many, many variables.
Either way, good luck, and I hope you get the trilogy pack, too! It's so beautiful, yeah?

Well didn't they do it with The Lion King? Or Beauty and the Beast? One of those, I forget which.Vermin Friends wrote:I seriously doubt it, and have never even heard of that being done before with box sets before.xxhplinkxx wrote:I just hope they make the box available to those of us who don't need to buy the trilogy. Either way, if they were going to offer it separately, I'm sure we would have heard about it by now.

I'm not sure, I started collecting Disney DVDs long after both of those went into the vault (around... TLM PE. lol)xxhplinkxx wrote:Well didn't they do it with The Lion King? Or Beauty and the Beast? One of those, I forget which.
Agreed. But then again, they haven't set up a website, or even bother fixing or at least "finalizing" the cover (even if the pictures and layout stay the same, the colors and lighting should at least be embossed and lightened/darkened)...xxhplinkxx wrote:Either way, if they were going to offer it separately, I'm sure we would have heard about it by now.

Whatever, as long as I get the pretty box! lmao

Anyway, I can't wait to get the trilogy box. The only bad thing is I already have a copy of Ariel's Beginning. This'll be my 3rd copy of the PE of TLM, but I'm always keen to get as many copies of the first movie as possible (already my first DVD has started skipping a bit, in parts). But I'm not as dedicated to its sequels and hate to have wasted more money on one. I guess it can't be helped, though.

Listening to most often lately:
Taylor Swift ~ ~ "The Fate of Ophelia"
Taylor Swift ~ "Eldest Daughter"
Taylor Swift ~ "CANCELLED!"

Well, Marina del Ray wasn't exactly villainous, either. lolDisney's Divinity wrote:Well, Morgana isn't exactly the most intimidating villain. Man, how many times do you watch it? lol I used to watch it once every week when TLM PE first came out for about... five months, and it still play(s/ed) fine. The only thing is that I'm terrified of leaving my finger prints on it, especially with the PE discs, since they're so shiny. lol
SO... the DVD comes out in two days, and the cover STILL hasn't changed... anyone else nervous?
Also, I keep meaning to ask: can we expect a review for this?
I checked out the Amazon page, and the cover still hasn't changed at all. However, if you just look at the thumbnail, close your left eye, and spin in a circle on a rolly chair, and then squint really hard, the cover looks beautiful!
It's not so much the layout, because I actually really like it. It's just that the colors are so bright... I can't wait for the trilogy set (which looks even more amazing on the Amazon site)!
