Cinderella and Aladdin Platinum Editions at Mejier for 7.99.

Post by PixarFan2006 »

I was at Meijer on Sunday and I noticed they had tons of copies of Cinderella and Aladdin in stock for 7.99. I did not buy either but I thought it would be a heads up for anyone who does not own either title.

Heh, I would totally buy those if I didn't have them.

You know, someone should buy all of them and sell them for $20 a piece on eBay. It would be the cheapest one and you'd make a bunch of money

Isn't Meijer only in the Michigan area, though? (That being said, there's one right by me)

No. It's in part of the east coast, I believe. I'm in Ohio and there is one about 4 minutes from me.

Looks like it's found in five states: http://www.meijer.com/custserv/store_locator.jsp ;)

Too bad I don't live in that area anymore, both are DVD's I happened to have lost and still need to replace. :P

I've got a Meijer about 10 minutes from me... I can probably stop out there sometime this week and pick some up

Anyone want some?

Well, that depends:

A) Are these the special editions?
B) How much would you charge to send them to me in Wisconsin?

Ah, guys. I was bored earlier and had some cash to spare.

So I bought 4 of Aladdin and 4 of Cinderella. (Now keep in mind that I already own both so they aren't for me)

I'm thinking of selling them for $15 each (that includes shipping)... if anyone's interested. I mean, hey, it's still under the MSRP and the movies are both in the Vault so it's a good deal. I just want to make money somehow

Aladdin has a slipcover, but Cinderella doesn't. I guess that's just how they were given to Meijer.

If I don't get enough people here who want them I'll probably list them on eBay or such.

--EDIT--

Oh, and Neal, yes they are special editions... they're Platinum Editions, the only official DVD releases.

I'm interested in the Aladdin DVD, if you could hold a copy for a few days until I ask my parents permission (my spending is under their jurisdiction) - however, I'm planning to buy the collector's edition of Cinderella that comes with the book and art, so that one I'm not interested it. I'm in Wisconsin, so you're fairly close to me - shouldn't be too bad to ship it to me.

Sure, I can hold one of them.

Last I checked, shipping was by weight and not distance. Same price to mail something to California as it is to next door.

It sounds like I can use my (inevitable) Christmas money to buy the DVD. Do you think you can reserve a copy that long? If not, that's fine, I understand.

Yeah I can... I take it you don't have PayPal or anything?

Though I suppose if you just send me cash via the mail that would work too.

So far I sold two copies of Aladdin and I'm holding one for you. The last one's up for grabs, but a friend of mine from school wants one so I'll have to ask him about it.

No, I have PayPal. Only that money is monitored. I'm still living under my parents rules until college. Basically, I work for them and they fill up my debit card (and by extension, PayPal) when I ask for something. So, I'm sure to get some money for Christmas. I'll give them $15 of it and they'll transfer some money onto my debit card that I can pass onto you.

Dangit, college will make life much easier!

Haha, I heard you there. I'm a senior in high school...
But my parents don't monitor stuff that much... They pay me to do stuff around the house, and I get money as gifts all the time. And they let me do what I want with it.

So I just drive over to Kroger, buy a prepaid Visa, and stick it in PayPal. I wanted to get a reloadable credit card but the fees on those are ridiculous. (Have you ever read the TOS of Green Dot cards? $5 fee per month... $10 to activate it... it goes on and on!)

So either way, sure, I'll hold one until after Christmas. (Hey, it's only a little over a week away!)

No, never heard of such a thing. I'm lucky enough to have a debit card. I only got one because I needed a secure money system when I went to Australia.
