Looking for a song reflective of Disney’s Animated Classics

I want to make a video of Disney’s classic films using climatic scenes from each movie.

I’m looking for just the right song to play over these clips – adding to the mood.

It needs to be sweeping, orchestral, magical, whimsical, and preferably without lyrics.

…Imagine some of the climatic scenes from the 47 released classic Disney films. Cinderella's dress transformation. Lady and Tramp kissing. Beauty and the Beast dancing in the ballroom. What song would be able to represent them all? I want it to be beautiful, magical, sweeping, whimsical, haunting, orchestral and if possible, without lyrics.

So far I have "When You Wish Upon a Star", a slow version of "Pure Imagination", and "Flying" as I exampled above.

So that's two lyric songs, one non. So I want my fourth song to be without lyrics so its equal.

I can’t quite find what I’m looking for. What song(s) do you think would reflect and match the feel and look of the classic animated Disney films?

They can be classic or more recent. From a band or from a soundtrack. Any song that would be able to capture the emotion of Disney animation.

All I got to say is this song works so much better in the DisneyNature Earth movie trailer, rather than in a video with a bunch of seniors acting like kids.

I could tell you like 1,000 renditions you could use, but that isn't what you want.

I say go through the animated classic films soundtracks and pick the one you like best. It's your clip, so you have to do with it what you want.

I've always loved the theme from "Lonesome Dove", a 1989 TV miniseries.

The last couple minutes of "August's Rhapsody" (around the 5:12 mark) is pretty sweeping as well.

And to add some "Doctor Who" to it, we've got "The Dream of a Normal Death", used the two-parter "Human Nature/The Family of Blood" from Series Three. It's got a chorus in the song (though it's all just vocal "ahh-ahh-ahh" kind of stuff, no real words)

And since it'll be a Disney montage, why not have it end with a (lesser known) piece of Disney music? Such as..."Love Everlasting" from Tuck Everlasting (and conveniently, the only clip I can find on youtube is one that features "Doctor Who"!).

Both the August Rush and Dr. Who pieces are exactly what I asked for and beautiful but almost a tinge too slow.

As for Tuck Everlasting, the same as above.

I want something that epic and sweeping but it just needs to be a little faster. More moving in speed, not quite as reflective in speed.

But since those songs are all so awesome and what I asked for (but am not looking for) I plan to use them in a different project.

I feel really bad now. I hope you understand I'm trying to find just the right thing. It'll just jump out at me when it's right.

How about the Firebird suite? It's epic, rousing, pretty fast-paced towards the finale, and you've got the Disney connection there with Fantasia 2000.

If you need some good instrumental, try this site. All the music is free to download and also royalty free, in other words, no one technically owns it. Though its nice to give the composers credit all the same. You can search for what type of music you want and it will compile a list. Even if the pieces are shorter than you want, you merge many of the songs together gradually, and it comes out very nice, sometimes seamless. And the titles often give you an idea what it will sound like. They also include descriptions on what instruments are used and what mood they are.
