The Foo Fighters disc is pretty awesome. It has both DTS and Dobly. I don't know. I'm no expert - the DTS sounds cleaner, but the Dolby has a closer approximation of that muddy bass sound you only get live. Anyways, my girlfriend bought that for me about a month ago (for Valentine's!), and we watched it a few weekends ago. Dinosaur is a great DVD, and Edward Scissorhands is just great :)

Good choices there...

I should have a whole lot arriving this week...just wish they'd hurry up!

Just received 3 discs from the website I write for, all promo copies but one of them has a proper cover.

They are: Le Divorce; Hypnotic (really good!) and The Best of Spike Milligan.

Of course, I now have to review them :)

Schindler's List
Friday the 13th part 5
Whale Rider
Clue
The Stand
The Green Mile

I might have already posted a couple, not sure. Too many to keep track of.

Well, I'm in a horror mode this week:

Last night I picked up Ginger Snaps for AU$9.95 (about $7 US), and today I got the very nifty Jason X disc, in anticipation of my Freddy v Jason arriving, and the upcoming 'Friday' boxset (no date set).

My copy of the E.T - The Extra-Terrestrial (Ultimate Gift Boxed Set) finally arreived!

Man, MMB you were right. One of the nicest looking sets ever. And for some reason, I didn't expect the book to be a hardcover. Bonus!

Believe me - the incoming $$$ bears no relation to the amount going out :) In fact, I might have to build a house out of these DVDs because I will have to live in them one day.

Besides, I'm a sex worker by night.

Much to my shame, our Cat in the Hat arrived today.

[hangs head]

Update: Oh dear. I've had a sneak preview of the disc, and I must say I love the read and white altered Studio logos at the start. The Dreamworks one is fantastic. I hope I'm not going to like this movie!

I've just been shopping and bought this month's Total DVD magazine which has a free DVD with two (yes two) full-length movies on it.

It has The Independent starring Jerry Stiller, Janeane Garofalo and Ben Stiller (so I'm sure its worth watching) and Air America - not the Mel Gibsom film - which doesn't (so I'm sure its not worth watching).
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

I got The Mask in my box of Frosted Flakes. Sure it's fullscreen and some parts are censored, but it was free and it'll do until I get a real copy of The Mask one day.
