Post by Loomis »

Well, folks - this is a little vain, but I'm heading off on holidays for a few weeks so this is last chance I'll get to post for a little while. Thought I'd just pre-empt the inevitable "Why do I suddenly feel so empty? Why has my life become a void? I know - where's Loomis?" questions :P

Taking a much deserved holiday, but those of you who have my real email address keep 'em coming. I'll be checking it.

Direct all abuse to 2099net. He has been instructed to act as a proxy Loomis in my absence. 2099 - you must act and behave like me so the board does not feel the pain too severely. It's not the same, I know, but...

Rebel - re: our "arrangement". Please let me know when the animals and childre...err.....items are in the post. Seriously :looks around: the money is under the third rock to the left from the Statue of Senor Ding-Dong. Either that, or I'll work out a deal with you via email when I get back.

MMB - keep out of trouble. Friend LooMIZ said so. :D

Luke - sorry, I didn't get that last Top 30 review done...for the The Love Bug. Not sure if I'd know what to say anyways...

And if Ernest Rister is mean to anybody while I'm away, tell him that I have powers. Scary powers. Roger Ebert is a pussy.

Y'all take care and try not to miss me too much
(I'm so vain, I bet I think this thread is about me).

Have a great time Loomis! I'll miss your insanity, non-sensicality, and utter ridiculousity.

See you when you get back! :D

Loomis, you will be missed! Enjoy your vacation!
When you're on a holiday
You can't find the words to say
All the things that come to you
And I wanna feel it too

On an island in the sun
We'll be playing and having fun
And it makes me feel so fine
I can't control my brain

Good God...I only go to Arkansas because I have to. Can't imagine one going on account of free will :D I'm kidding Poco, Arkansas is a beautiful state and I'd love to spend lots of time fishing the waters of Bull Shoals.

As for Loomis visiting you...with that Sheep Avatar of yours I'd say there's a pretty good chance.

Hope you all survived without me. :P I'm very relaxed and have a little more colour in my Nosferatu-like skin than I did before I went away...

Thanks for all the kind words, and here of some of my own that may bring joy to some and pain to others:

I'd like to see your essay entitled, "What I Did on my Summer Vacation", or "My Adventures in the Running of the Sheep" on my desk no later than Friday morning.

No late papers accepted.

Awww...but Mr. Indy. I'm still on holiday technically, and I have all these nice DVDs to watch....

My essay will actually be titled "How to Put on Weight and Not Really Tan Without Really Trying".

I see. It's not just your perception of other people on the Internet that's warped, it's also your sense of time! I do hope that someone is able to do something to that ego of yours before it swells any more and someone gets hurt, though.

I wonder how many UD board users would like to read the e-mail you sent me, telling me my review of "So Dear To My Heart" was - and I quote - over the heads of the Ultimate Disney.com readers? Disney fans are NOT stupid. Disney films are NOT stupid, nor were they intended for stupid people. Disney films like Disney fans are smarter, sharper, and more emotionally direct than standrad Hollywood bullcrap. You solicited me for a review of 20,000 Leagues just a few days ago. I told you I was booked, and I was. Now I click on this site to see - to my horror - a pan of Those Calloways. Visit upon me all the wrath your site can endure. At the end of the day, call me horrible names, make fun of me in posts I'm not suposed to see...yu have to live with publishing a pan of Those Calloways. May it hang on your neck.

Dude - what did you do? Come back here and do a search on your own name? Or did you trawl back through the last two months worth of posts to see if we had been discussing you. That was a flip comment I made on - check this - Sat Jan 31 2004. Man, your head IS large.

Besides, no comment Loomis makes is officially endorsed by UltimateDisney.com or its affiliates. :D

And for the record Ernest, what we objected to was not you being "over our heads" - it was the fact that you reminded us constantly of how worthless our opinions are. And I quote:
God wrote:I'm not telling you what you should LIKE. I'm not telling you what your opinion SHOULD be. I'm just telling you the lay of the land. Facts are facts. Truth is Truth.

or another
God wrote:NO, your opinion is NOT as informed and as valuable on the subject of animation as those who actually made the films
The fact that you consider someone's opinion of a film so objectionable that 'we will just have to live with it' proves that time hasn't deflated any of that ego of yours. This is a fan site, by fans and for fans. I'm not entirely sure why you are wasting your time with us. If you are "fully booked", then perhaps your more esteemed associates might benefit from the length and breadth of your vast knowledge and experience.

Perhaps one of those people who appreciates you more is here:
http://www.jimloy.com/jim/abusive.htm
Sounds like we aren't the only ones who feel you are a tad much.

Now, you can reply to this if you wish. However, I will not engage in a discussion with someone who merely seeks to remind us of how superior he supposedly is. I have better things to do. I'm "booked" too. But then again, I suppose you wouldn't consider that real work anyways...

Until then, sorry sir, but I ain't wasting anymore time on you.

(BTW, my holiday was really nice - thanks for asking :P)

This one is probably the result of one of my complaints in My Complaint Department. I considered asking this person about his/her bigotry. Again, I have censored this slightly:

I work in customer service and sales, you are our nightmare and headaches, think about how ridiculous you sound and shut the f*** up! You must be white, you spoiled bastard, count your f***ing blessings and do us all a favor by keeping this stupid ass shit to your self.

I'm sorry but his ernest deserves all this cussing and more. he/she is been the ignorant. LOL who said Disney movie were for smart people? now I know that his/her brain capacity is not greater than a 5 yr olds to think it takes alot of brain power to understand a Disney movie!
he/she is nothing but a Common Mobile Vulgaris.
