It seems there are a lot of assumptions about the disposition of the UD staff toward Blu-ray. Let me just say for myself that I harbor nothing but excitement for the new format. While I'm not ready to write off DVDs and can acknowledge that there are some lame marketing tactics propping it up, I'm more than happy to welcome Blu-ray to the home video market. In fact, I've already embraced it. Hopefully UD/DVDizzy will be offering Blu-ray coverage in some capacity in the near-future. The process of going blu just isn't as quick or easy as we would all like it to be.

Great 101 Dalmatians review, Lukester.

I'm a bit disappointed at the lack of features (but yay!, the trailer is included!), especially since the R2/R4 versions have a few small features ("The Magic Is Real" featurette, "Dog Stars" featurette, "Cruella De Vil" music video, "Connect The Spots" game) that could have easily been carried over. I didn't enjoy the film that much, but I enjoy it enough to want it in my collection. But I'll probably take the review's advice and wait for it to come down in price.

Looking forward to the review for 102 Dalmatians, an inane film I like way more than I should. I doubt it will include anything new bonus-wise (aside from new Sneak Peeks and the tree-killing DVD condom), but the original disc is fine as-is, so I likely won't double-dip. But it's always nice to read a new take on the film.

Thoroughly enjoyed the Schoolhouse Rock!!: Election Collection review, Lukester. I probably won't pick it up, but as always, a good read.

I especially got a chuckle at the "Erection Collection" line (though it of course doesn't say erection, lol).

Great 101 Dalmatians 2: Patch's London Adventure, Kelvin!

With so many family members crammed into one household, it's inevitable that much attention can't be given to each one, a sentiment <strike>Lucky</strike> Patch laments wholeheartedly. After accidentally being left alone while his siblings are whisked away to their new home, <strike>Lucky</strike> Patch decides to go off and meet his television hero Thunderbolt.

The canine star has problems of his own, however, when he discovers his character is about to be killed off. Using <strike>Lucky's</strike> Patch's vast knowledge of each episode of the show, Thunderbolt goes around London attempting heroic deeds in hopes of fueling up positive publicity.

<snip> It shows unexpected restraint in regards to Cruella's screentime, allowing <strike>Lucky</strike> Patch and the other characters more opportunity to develop.

I'm glad it wasn't as openly harsh to the film as other reviews I've read for it were, and for that I'm grateful. It's not a film that a lot of people would put on a list of favorites, but I enjoyed it for what it is (a silly nonsensical sequel that indulges itself in being...silly and nonsensical) and as a fan of both Glenn Close and Ioan Gruffudd, I was already biased towards liking it more than I should have been.

Still, as I was saying earlier, I'm glad you didn't just openly start ripping into it, that you actually analyzed it beyond empty insults other reviews settled for (stuff like "this stuff is trash, Disney must've been high when they greenlit it"). Of course, I agree with your opinion that $30 is too much to pay for a little-film-that-could-but-didn't.

I've already got the old edition (though it's insert-less and a bit scratched, but it still plays), so I'll pass on the new edition. In a couple years, it'll likely be repackaged in an inevitable two-movie collection (with proper ratios this time unlike the first release!), and it'll finally give me incentive to not only replace my old copy, but also finally get the first film.

Pasta, I don't think the members of Halloweentown are boring and only one-track, though one-track may need some explaining, but they go through more than one emotion and do care about things more than just what they're job as a scary being is, they care for Jack. But I definately feel they are fun and funny. And I think Sally is one of the most developed characters and like that she is smart enough to see things going on.

Awallace, thank you for shedding light on the Blu-ray situation. Now all I wonder is if it was Luke that thought Blu-ray was a bad idea for awhile, or he was just joking, like when he called advertisments for it propaganda.

I also wanted to say, thanks for reviewing Aqua Teen Hunger Force Movie Film For Theaters. That was really cool, that you would even think of reviewing it and then do so well and so thoroughly. Also, I wanted to say you seem to have gotten what I also think, that there are probably private jokes in Aqua Teen, show or film, including how they were thought up. But I kind of like the mystery of them, even though I was hoping the film would reveal what they were and why they were. Speaking of, didn't you notice the film has a fair amount about wondering where they came from, how, and why? They're the kind of questions many people ask as they grow older, and even though a "kid's" cartoon, Catdog, expanded into a TV movie, did deal with that issue in the title characters' quest for their parents, I think Aqua Teen's movie may have to do a lot with the more adult, complicated, abstract questioning of why we exist. The mystery of where we came from and why we're here. Or maybe not. But I thought the film did go fairly beyond the show, tried to answer some fan's questions, and looked at the heart (as in the center, what it's all about) of Aqua Teen, or just provided more on the subjects fans questioned that caused more questions!

Thanks for the awesome review of Sleeping Beauty PE, and especially for the comparison screenshots. I had no idea that the SE did not show the complete frame. The new picture looks really nice, as do many of the new extras. I knew that I would pick this up at some point, but figured I'd wait a while since I already own the SE. But thanks to your review, I'll be getting it and enjoying it ASAP. Thanks!

Great job on the Sleeping Beauty review, as always, and the thorough comparison of how the bonus features compare to the SE.

I also really enjoyed the recent Peanuts reviews and the review of the Rankin/Bass Easter Bunny Is Coming To Town special. Those type of things are the exact type of non-Disney content I enjoy reading most, as I have heavy interest in Peanuts, Rankin/Bass, and their genres in general.

I also really enjoyed Aaron's Sword In The Stone review and agree that the film is underrated and funny.

Like others have said, the reviews to me are the heart of the site and what hooked me on reading it in the first place.

A big "Thanks" and "Keep up the great work" for these and all the other great reviews I did not mention!

Thanks for all the latest feedback. Pleased to see it's all rather positive. Hope you enjoy the <i>Jack Frost</i> review I just posted, David. I know my sanity is being preserved by the variety of the review subjects. Of course, it's also being threatened by the sheer volume of them!

I just had a blast reading the Tinker Bell review! It was so friggin' hilarious! At like every paragraph there's a great one-liner and zinger that always got a laugh out of me! My favorite is probably in the bonus features section when discussing the music video. "If you've never found Selena Gomez annoying before, here is a golden new opportunity!"

I just read Kelvin's Sex and the City review. I am in no hurry whatsoever to see this movie, but I'm glad to hear that I can follow along without having seen much of the show (but disappointed to hear that I probably won't be won over, given my opinion of the series). Great job!

Just read Renata's Tinker Bell review, and it was every bit as snarky but fair as I'd hoped. No one gives the princesses and fairies a fair chance while ridiculing them (or, as is more the case, Disney) at the same time like Renata! Another great job!

Well, color me surprised.

I had no intention of picking up the Annette treasure at all. But reading Luke's review made me a bit more interested in it. So while I likely won't be picking it up today, I have a feeling I may pick it up somewhere down the line (assuming it's still on store shelves).

I just read Luke's excellent WALL-E review. After reading that, I'll be paying more money for the 3-disc edition. I'm actually pretty interested in "The Pixar Story", and there seem to be a lot of other bonus features on the 2nd disc.

Great job on Panda, Clone Wars, all the Treasures, a Colbert Christmas, Scrubs, Hellboy II, and the rest, UD Staff! I find it kind of funny that the only Shrek DVDs that you've been sent for review are for what are, in my opinion, the worst projects from the franchise. That's just bad luck.

I was gonna say that Wall-E is PIXAR's ninth film, not their eighth, but it seems the review has already been edited appropriately. Though I was always going to buy the three-disc edition, the review's got me even more excited, especially since I've yet to see the film. I'm so excited.

Great job, guys! Keep up the great work, but don't overdo it!
