Personally, I think that style of art is very unnatractive. I'm tempted to call it 'lazy', but I'd rather not, as I understand that its a style, and there is hard work behind it. But I really don't like it.

It's just, if I'm going to pay upwards of $400 for a Disney Villians litho, I'd rather have one in which the villians looks exactly as they do in the movie. I just don't like that style of art.

It's really cool-looking, but I'm with Jack in that I'd only pay big bucks for something more in keeping with my preferred style.

It's okay, I guess, but it's a little weird for my taste. If I'm going to get something "Disney", I want it to look "Disney". That's why I like it in the first place.
I like Snow White's stepmother because she has this regal icy beauty. This has completely changed her look.

I kinda like the style of the painting... Not really though the only problem is only the overrated villains are here... Where's Madame Medusa? Mr. Snoops? Brutus? Nero? Amos Slade? Chief? The Horned King? Creeper?

Nah... I don't think so...

Well, to be fair, it is a signed limited edition of 100 prints - I think it deserves to be that expensive.

I personally think it's a cool style. Very nice "art deco" influence. Not to get personal, but I think some of you would perhaps do well to widen your perspectives a bit - it's stylized, for pete's sake. Just because these villains have an established character model doesn't mean they can't be played around with - more power to Michiell for doing it.

Let me pose a question for y'all - would you be more apt to buy a print of Disney characters if they were simply cut 'n pasted, commonly found clip art? Sure they'd be on model, but even if they were composed in an interesting way, they still wouldn't be original.

But anyhoo, I wouldn't be so averse to the pic - it's just another stylized interpretation, after all the debate dies.
Life often leaves us standing bare, naked and dejected with a lost opportunity. Over the bleached bones and jumbled residues of numerous civilizations are written the pathetic words: "Too late."

I agree with you, Paka. It's an interesting stylization. Of course, I don't think clip art would necessary be bland, though it could, at worst, remind us all of "House of Villains."

It's not very cool at all. It doesn't include Pete - the most important villain of them all! :x

As for the style, it's no my cup of tea (then again, I don't drink tea so nothing is my cup of tea I suppose), but I certainly see it as art.

One definition of "Art" is to challenge people's perceptions and people's beliefs. I think this does the job. I sort of like half of the characters, but some are just too far out for me.

Is it worth the money? Sure, if you're willing to pay the money!

I saw it on some online art store for like 15000, it wasn't an auction or anything. Not sure if that one was autographed.
