Treasures DVD Buena Vista stamp colors

Post by ckdish »

Has anyone noticed that some of the Disney Treasures DVDs have a red Buena Vista stamp and some have a blue one? I have a Chronological Donald and a Tomorrowland with the red stamp but all the others I've seen have the blue stamp.

What's more, the red stamp is a bit smaller (and looks more sleek). I was wondering if it would change the value. Perhaps these DVDs were packaged at a different factory. Any ideas?

Buena Vista Stamp...

Post by Ragged_Clown »

I just received Mickey in Black & White Vol. 2 from eBay and everything seems fine. Came in the tin, has all the inserts, has the white double-amaray case. However, I could not find the Buena Vista stamp on the shrink wrap.

So my question is, just because it doesn't have the stamp doesn't mean it's a bootleg, right? Is it even feasible to perfectly reproduce the Disney Treasures tins for $20?

And I'm sorry if this should've gone in an already-existing thread. Just slap me on the wrist and I'll know for next time.

If I were you I'd quit worrying. What's the point of manufacturing inserts and pressing tins for a mere $20 if you're a bootlegger? Go ahead and enjoy, I've yet to get that set, and $20 is a bargain. :)

Escapay is the local "careless-starting-of-threads" warden, so keep an eye out for him. :P And welcome to the forum. Completely new or been lurking for some time?

Appreciate the welcome. Mostly new, but had been around these parts once or twice before.

Because the new thread has already been merged with the old one (notice the 2007 date!).
