I'm pretty sure on her website thing for yale, it said she was the val.

Leading to, yes, i did see it today with some of my friends. There were some moments that garned a few innapropriate, bursting guffaws from us...

"Oooo! Is this a pirate wheel?" wtf?

But, as always, I very much enjoyed Ryan's character, and Zac Efron is often nice to look at on the big screen. However, I felt that in a strange way, Sharpay was almost downscaled! Sure she had some huge moments, but she really didn't do anything major to the plot, and that's too bad.

I was glad to see that Mrs Darbus was back! Though she's a really creeper for being at the school that late! And I was so excited that we got another spastic Troy number that even topped "Bet on It" for awkard performance!

I did fell, unfortunately, that Sharpay and Gabriella actually got worse at singing! I don't know how that happens, but they seemed noticeably worse! They both seemed to lack any sort of technique or vibrato at all! Zac seemed better, probably because it was actually him, and he's got some good practice in. Lucas has always been great. Chad was fine, considering I think Corbin is truly one of the best singers. Kelsey was decent, though seemingly newer at it. And Monique must not be able to sing very well, because they've never given her anything!

So, I wasn't dissapointed. Songs/story was waaaay better than the over-produced HSM2, so good job!

I just hope they don't take the new kids (all of whom were shown as somewhat unlikeable) to replace the old ones in a HSM4, that's be nearly unbearable...

But then, (highlight to read) Sharpay wouldn't be able to come back in HSM4 as a faculty member (or whoever) for the drama department. It's convenient that she'll be going to U of A and be able to go to East High often. (end of spoiler!)

So true, so true. :) :) :)

I wrote my previous response late last night, and I was searching for who said it, but I couldn't find it, so I didn't write what I was going to...
rs_milo_whatever mentioned how the new kids "weren't there too much", and I agree- I had been worried that they would be huge focuses of the film, so the audience would get to know them well for HSM4. The 13 year old girl I went with thinks that the "RocketMan" is hot, so I guess Disney casted him well to be the male lead of the next movie or two, lol. The "RocketMan"'s friend, the one is supposedly idolizes Chad, barely was in the film...I was surprised, because the 3 new Wildcats were marketed equally. I wonder how Tiara sings...I mean, the little bit we heard her sing was over the top and not as sing-songy singing as it could've been (during "Senior Year Spring Musical"). But we shall see.

*edit*

Well, she sang a little bit in HSM2...and on the Disney Channel Holiday CD, Monique has her own song:

I was fairly pleased with Senior Year it was a pleasant film, the numbers were excellently choregraphed, acting came off strong and the evelopement of the characters.......

One of my high hopes for "Senior Year" was to see these characters have actual depths to their personalites....for example why is Troy so motivated bout his future, how come Gabriella is so focused on doin the right thing? What's truely motivating these "WildCats" yes some of my fav. characters had full fledge personalities, but the new "WildCats" could've gotten some fair amount of screen time as the Seniors. The most interesting new WildCats were Tira Gold and Jimmy "Rocketman".

Now here's the downfall: Seeing that it's Senior Year for Troy and the gang and the fact "Senior Year" came out in the fall, kinda didn't feel right to me, no offense but I just think Disney could've be wise to release it in Mid May/June in time for the real graduations.

As for the numbers I was excited to see "Boys Are Back", "I Want It All", "Now Or Never" and "Night To Remember" too bad they didn't do the REAL prom would've been interesting

I went to the movies and saw "High School Musical 3" and it was fun. All of the songs are good and the whole part of this entire movie was the East High basketball team "Wildcats", not this Wildcat record player made by GE, I'm talking about the basketball team.

It was great, the songs "Now or Never" are the best, even the graduation part at the end was spectacular featuring "We're All in This Together" from the first "High School Musical" film and the finale of this was the title song associated with all of the films.

I had a great time, but I can't wait for "High School Musical 4" to be coming out by next year, it is not going to be release in theaters, it's going to be a TV movie. No word on what the actors are going to return once again.

And by the way, the ending credits are excellent including the winner in the "HSM: Get In the Picture" contest was Stan Carrizosa dancing during the end credits. "HSM: Get in the Picture" was a short-lived reality show aired on ABC and lasted one season. Right before that are the bloopers. That was it.

The film was originally going to have a Halloween them, hence the October release date. Too bad it didn't, I may have actually wanted to see it if it did. If there's one thing Disney has a hard time screwing up, it's Halloween.

Y'know it's funny... High School Musical 2, while being all about being on summer vacation, was released towards the end of summer :P

My Favorite Song was Scream performed by Troy/Zac Effron as I felt I could relate to it...

As for it not being released via more Graduation...perhaps the DVD/Blu Ray will be released more for the spring around graduation

I don't know but I'm pretty sure I'll be watching that DVD over and over; I just hope they don't keep me waiting on the two-disc release this time.

And you shouldn't, it's a real treat for the fans and it just sucks that you have to wait too long... it really is worth the wait, though.

Saw this last night with my bestfriend Bobby and Jimmy aka Poody.

I liked it a lot it was really cute, I think it did justice to the fans of High School Musical. I also think its the most well done High School Musical, much better then number 2. I'm definitely going to buy this when it comes out. I actually really liked a lot of the songs I heared which surprised me, I just might pick up the soundtrack to it.

Poody and I liked it a lot but my best friend hated it lol...he's a really harsh movie critic...thats like his like his thing Film an stuff since he wants to be a director. But I told himm well, it was for the fans anyways so I'm sure they all enjoyed it and all the kids who see it are sure going to like it so thats what counts after all.

I'm glad so many people are enjoying this; they aren't really bad films, they're good for what they are. People will say they're bad movies because
they're annoyed by the hype but that shouldn't be any way to judge a movie, in my opinion that makes you just as ignorant as if you judge it just
because you liked the others or because of the people in it. It's a shame when people won't give things a chance for whatever reason they may have.

So after listening to the soundtrack more I think my favorite songs are "Can I Have This Dance" and "Just Wanna Be With You"... but they're all really good (and I'm enjoying it so much more than the HSM2 soundtrack).

Who are you and what have you Done with the real reyquila whose catch phrase is an UD Icon? Because the real reyquila that I heard of wouldn't complain about the timing of a Disney movie even if Hannah Montana were with Lilo & Stitch in a Theatrical Disney and only lasted 5 minutes...and Had Darkwing Duck kissing Snow White in it as well...

:P

But also I wasn't expecting the movie to last nearly 2 hours...I thought maybe an hour and 20 minutes tops...but two hours?

and is it just me or were the end credits of the film lasted like 1 Minute??

My family saw the 4:40 showing today and we thought it was a lot of fun. My wife and I are 32 and we actually enjoyed it; though we usually enjoy Disney fare so it's expected but it was even better than we thought it would be. My two year old danced the entire time and was truly adorable. My five year old liked it a lot and wants to see it again. She likes Sharpay a lot and really liked I Want It All. I choked up once Troy and Gabriella got on stage and pretty much all the way through to the end. I would recommend this movie to anyone that wants a light-hearted but emotional 2-hour romp at the movie theatre. It's certainly a lot better than most of the other dreck that people call movies now.

Why does it come as a surprise that it's two hours? High School Musical 2 was over two hours.
