Now I am really frustrated. A group of people tried to buy the site, which they would have parted with for a couple of thousand evidently. I would have given Sam $100 towards it. However, it would violate cnet rules.

Today is the day... R.I.P. DVDSpot.

I've moved my collection back to DVDAF, but I haven't got all the price/purchase info moved. There is a plugin that lets you import your DVDSpot list to DVDProfiler. I tried it and it worked for the first 50 titles. After that you have to purchase the program for $30 to continue using all the features.

I'll probably just stick with DVDAF unless something better comes along.

Gosh, darn it! I forgot it was today and did not finish moving it all to DVDA. This is going to make it much harder.

I'm obsessed with dvdspot so this was pretty depressing for me. I don't really like dvdaf, it's not clean and organized like dvdspot. I wish there was a new site like dvdspot around. :(

I never used DVDSpot, because I found it didn't have very good support for region 4. I use totally-worth-paying-for DVD Profiler. It makes everything nice and neat, and the online collection features are great.
Example of online collection: http://www.invelos.com/dvdcollection.aspx/bern19922
I think this is the best DVD database program available, but the fact it isn't free may turn some people off it.
